A brooding d'Arkent lay upon a plush couch within one of the many empty Parlors of the Sunholdt's manor within New Providence. The teen's hair covering alongside many different forms of hairpins would be scattered across the floor at the foot of the couch. "Of Course I am the one who has to deal with this!" Anne shouted into the air as her fingers idly ran through her hair which covered the upper half of her frail frame. "My Brothers, the Duke, are off doing GOD knows what and I'm stuck to take care of everything!" As the d'Arkent continued to complain to herself she'd swing her legs around, slamming them against the side of the couch in frustration. "They are lucky I love them or this family would drown without me." As the Pretentious Lady finally finished her rant she'd continue to lay upon the couch, looking over the paintings of her family within the room with a mix of frustration and love.

"The Carringtons are quite bold with their words. Do you think grandfather will make a statement?" Anne Josephine queried towards her aging great aunt! @zuziee

"Surely a youthful writer! What a great work." Anne Josephine hummed with an nod.

Anne Josephine remained within the Southern Principality as she waited for the Sunholdt carriage to make the long journey back, stuck away from the Empire for days. During the free time in Savoy the young d'Arkent bugged her Pruvian cousins!
2 -
Anne Josephine clutched her Lorraine neckless as the Baron of Carrington announced the news of Lady Mary's passing within Savoyard Court. Lady Anne silently wept as her extended family swore their loyalty to the Philip III.

A grandiose carriage led by two start white horses arrived before Sunholdt as the sun began to break from its nightly prison. Anne Josephine glided towards the carriage with a small cluster of maids and servants surrounding her with all her belongings in tote. Anne allowed for the maids to place her bags within the carriage before taking a lightweight coat from her Lady's Maid. "Make sure the dogs are fed while I'm gone." The d'Arkent ordered before stepping into the carriage.
Anne's rear landed upon the velvet seat of the carriage, her luggage to one side of her and a stack of letters on the other. The teen sifted through the letters, gently opening each with a letter opener. Many of the letter congratulated the Lady upon her appointment as Mistress of the Ceremonies, with each congratulation the grin upon Anne's face grew. Suddenly Anne's grin fell into a frown. The news of The Duke of Adria's death finally reached her eyes, likely hours after those within the city. The lady stared at the letters for nearly a minute with tears streaming from her eyes. While Anne never knew the Imperial Prince she still mourned the loss of a leader.
As the Sunholdt carriage finally arrived at the grand gates of Savoy the d'Arkent gathered her thoughts, suppressing all her fears which the letter brought on as she now must face the fears of a foreign land. Upon stepping out of the carriage, the heat of the south struck Anne's face, her eyebrows knitting as she reached back into the carriage for a parcel. The lady clutched her jewels as she moved through the city towards the Palace to greet the heir to the Empire and his wife!

"This will not ruin the birthday I've spent so much time planning!" Anne Josephine yelled towards a courier as they delivered the letter to the Sunholdt Apartment. The teenage d'Arkent took off towards her desk to finalize the plans for the party, refusing to let the war ruin the fun!

Anne Josephine’s natural grin twisted downwards into a large frown upon hearing the news. “This is going to be a long meeting.” The teen grumbled in frustration, fearing the disruption the arrival would cause to the finally stable court.
1 -
Anne Josephine attempted to lift one of the many swords which recently found a home within the deconstructed palace, yet the feeble teen wasn't even able to lift the sword a foot from the ground. It seems she will be little help in the fight against the dwarves!

Anne Josephine frantically moved through the Augustine Palace as a plethora of hardhat wearing servants gutted the interior. Upon finally reaching the Sunholdt Apartment, Anne stiffly waved over one of the maids. "Do Not allow them to destroy this apartment till the last possible second! I will not be traveling back and forth from Sunholdt while we are at the brink of a war!" The teenage d'Arkent ordered before running off to her bedroom for a well needed nap!

Anne Josephine sat slouched over her desk, blueprints and parchments covering nearly ever inch of the large desk. The overworked teen removed her glasses and gently rubbed the bridge of her nose as she thought of all her work she must finish. The lady's moment of relaxation was quickly interrupted by a courier rushinh into her office with a piece of parchment "What is it!?" The d'Arkent wined out as she was handed the announcement. Anne quickly placed her reading glasses back on her nose to read over the announcement.
Anne was extreme dismayed by the letter, one of her hands lifting to rest against her mouth as she read. "We do not need a war with the short dwarves! How am I to host events if we are being raided" At that she shook her head and laid the announcement atop one of the large blueprints. "The 4th Brigade will be mighty busy over the next few weeks."
1 -
"Better late than never!" Anne Josephine stated with a nod of the head as she heard the news of coterie. The teen girl made sure to make a note in her planner to discuss future coteries with the Crown Princess.
2 -
"Absolutely Disgusting!" Anne Josephine loudly commented as she read over the piece of junk mail from within the Sunholdt apartment of the Augustine. "Why would someone dare disrespect the Emperor is such a way? Making toys in his likeness for kids to throw around and chew on? I can't think of anything more disrespectful."
1 -
"I wonder who will be the next Director of the Secret Service, what do they even do?" Anne Josephine commented while sharing tea with her Grandmother Auvergne @Fie, seeming to be completely unbothered by the news.

Anne Josephine laid upon a sofa within the Sunholdt apartment in the Augustine as she read over the Governess's Resignation. The teenage d'Arkent let out a huff as she lifted herself up from the sofa and meandered towards a writing desk, having to fetch her own ink and quill as the apartment was far understaffed in comparison to Sunholdt.
"Dear Cousin Mary,
I am saddened to hear of your resignation from the position of Governess, but I wish you the best on whatever it is you have planned for the rest of your life. Once the repairs within Sunholdt are finished you will always be welcomed within its walls as long as I live there. Sunholdt is only a short carriage ride from Redenford and I'm sure you will not wish to spend too much time in that backwash town!

Anne Josephine of Sunholdt"

A Bloodied Ball
A group of Party-goers fleeing Sunholdt
[!] The following public letter would be published throughout the Holy Orenian Empire with multiple copies delivered north to Karosgard.
Less than as Saint’s Day ago the Duchy of Sunholdt opened its doors to the public for the first time in years to begin the festivities of St. Robert’s Bounty. The event was meant to be a grandiose ball for the Citizens of Oren and their guests to enjoy within the confines of Sunholdt, yet the festivities did not last long. As my conversation concluded with Her Highness, Klara Elizaveta and my Great-Aunt, Her Grace, the Dowager-Duchess of Vidaus, I moved to speak with my Pruvian cousins, when the ball was interrupted by the shout of a Soldier who warned us of an impending attack from outside!
As people ran frantically, I did the best to assist my Aunt, Lady Anna Maria, with escorting the Hanseti Princess and the HIH, Duchess of Adria to safety. When we finally reached the safety of my Aunt’s room, our small party stayed in hiding. From her room we could hear the shouts of fear echoing from the ballroom and those who fled to hide in the wings of Sunholdt. After hiding for what felt like hours we finally decided we must make a run for escape! With the assistance of a Knight of Haense by the name of Walton, we used a rope to escape from the second story and fled to Providence for safety with the Duchess of Adria and Princess Klara Elizaveta under constant protection.
From the account of the incidents following our departure I understand that the brave Lord Joseph d’Azor rallied the ISA together to fend off the apparent raiders who’d broken into the ballroom through a window and attempted to cause harm to our guests. The efforts of our brave soldiers led to the detainment of the raiders so they could be tried in the court of law.
I wish to begin by publicly admonishing the attackers upon Sunholdt! These men ambushed a peaceful event within the lands of Lower Petra to threaten the safety of our guests. It disgusts me to think that anyone would go so far as to harm innocent party-goers. I Pray that whoever was behind the attack is properly punished.
Secondly, I wish to extend a heartfelt apology to His Majesty, Sigismund III of Hanseti and Ruska, Her Majesty, Emma of Jerovitz, and Her Highness, Princess Klara Elizaveta, for the horrible events which Princess Klara was forced to endure. A child of her age should never have to witness such events unfold and I pray that she makes a quick emotional recovery. The Duchy of Sunholdt shall be open for her to visit if she ever wishes to return under less eventful terms.
Next, I wish to thank the brave soldiers of the Imperial State Army who swiftly made way to Sunholdt at the defense of our guests. Without these soldiers I can not imagine how the events of tonight might have ended. As always, we are forever in debt to the ISA.
Upon the closure of the Ball we were to name the best dressed guests “King and Queen of The Bounty.” As this was unable to occur I have decided to choose who shall be named King and Queen of the Bounty in a different manner. Lady Anna Mariya and the Knight of Haense, Walton, shall be named King and Queen of the Bounty! In the face of danger these two put their own lives on the line to protect not just the Nobles and Princesses of their nation, but of other nations as well. These two represent the future we should have with our Canonist brothers and sisters. I thank them for their bravery.
Finally I wish to publicly apologize to all who were in attendance when the Ball was attacked. None of us should have to experience this and I hope we can move past this tragic event and continue the celebration of St. Robert’s Bounty together!
[!] At the bottom of the letter would be an illustration of one of the raiders in Imperial Court.
Signed,
Her Ladyship,
Anne Josephine of Sunholdt

WORDS TO THE ORENIANS
in The Kingdom of Oren
Posted
Anne of Sunholdt ordered servants around to remove the final remains of her room from Sunholdt in preparation for the upcoming war, her hand idly waving and pointing a items from her plush couch. As the servants crowded together around one of the heavier pieces of furniture Anne would take a break from her waving to read the recently published pieces on the War. “That stupid Sarkozy boy! Writings of false hope do nothing to help the Empire.” As the d’Arkent continued to rant she’d once again return to waving about orders to her servants. “We fight on land belonging only to GOD against other men of God. We should not fight with pride, nothing about cutting down fellow canonists on the land of GOD should invoke a feeling of pride. This is a solemn war, a war each and every one of us should be saddened by.”
