Abresi Financial Status

 

Week 19-20 (3rd Mar - 9th Jan)

 

The tenth period has passed, how time flies!

 

This period, Joseph Lane is currently bedridden with illness with Steward Triss writing the reports as of this week. We would also like to welcome Maria to Abresi with her new money syndicate in the form of: The First Bank of Abresi!

Local News:

 

First off, we have gained a new Bank within Abresi owned by Maria (sapphireshard).

Wishing her well  for her new banking system within Abresi as this is certainly a revolutionary process with the populace taking out loans and paying into the bank shares making profits. We would also like to thank Marie (sapphireshard) for her business within Abresi as it has flocked many of people around Anthos to come to our great city. The opening of the bank allows new opportunities for different people. If you’re short on cash come and take out a loan! Secondly, Banok who was previously a Steward has had a role-change. With the purge of the old military Banok has become Captain of the Kings Watch. They are the protectors of Abresi and Abresi hasn’t seen a military so healthy for a long time. Banok was a great Steward as of recent. He had fulfilled his tasks that was set him in a strong and detailed way. His persistence will now server the Kings Watch very well and it has proven so already.

 

We would all like to wish Banok the best of luck in his new role within Abresi.

Thirdly, The King has spoken. This War between the Red Army of Strelts and White Army of St. Lucien will not take place within the walls of Abresi. Anyone seen putting up propaganda will be removed from the city. Also anyone actively involved in the war are not allowed within the city and if caught within the walls of Abresi they shall be removed by the Kings Guard. If a citizen or anyone involved in the war commits any crimes due to the war within Abresi they shall be executed for breaching the Kings peace.

 

Lastly, the plague within Abresi is now vanquished. It has been exterminated forever. People can now freely roam Abresi without their infection masks and the risk of being taken ill. The prevention of the plague included the rallying of a large group of Abresi loyalists and heading into the sewers to fight a massive rat which was at the source of the plague. Once the rat had been defeated people the continued to kill any rats they saw. Abresi is now deemed a safe place to live again without any chance of infection. After the events in the sewers this then lead to Maer Lane accepting a petition presented to him for the construction of a new Chapel. This Chapel shall replace the current Town Hall however the finer details are yet to be ironed out. So keep your eyes peeled as there may be a new sight to view within Abresi pretty soon.

Closing remarks:

 

Obviously with 4.0 just around the corner Senda has been working like a little lab monkey none stop. The Stewarding team are supporting him on the 3.0 side of things however Maer Lane (Senda) cannot simply be on that much. With ooc duties and 4.0 duties there is simply not enough time. Therefore if you have any questions related to city affairs which you would normally ask Senda please seek a Steward.

 

I would also like to point out that it’s Senda’s tenth ingame year anniversary as being Maer. It’s quite obvious on the turnaround he has done since he has influenced his ways upon Abresi. These comes down to the military, the city structure and obviously the fluidity on how the city runs on a daily basis. We would all like to say a special thanks to Senda and wish him well on 4.0! Obviously the Maer’s main goal was to make Abresi a vibrant city again. And on that note over the last recent days I have noticed the mass increase on activity within the city. The bank has also helped the popularity, we would like to thank everyone who rp’s within Abresi for simply rping within Abresi.

 

A word from Joseph Lane (Senda):

 

Greetings one and all,

 

So, quite the ride we have had thus far.. and things are getting more exciting as we near the elusive future known simply as “4.0”, which I am currently working on, on behalf of the entire Human Nation.

 

However, such priviledge has its drawbacks.. the most obvious one being that it sucks up all of my spare time, to the point where currently, I have no time at all to be present on the live server.

 

Thankfully, I have one superb team of Stewards and supporting folk that are kindly telling me “It’s fine! Go build us a cool new Capitol, we’ll hold down the fort for you!”

And they are surely stepping up their game, doing all that needs to be done, from handling the requests and questions of the citizens, to doing all the hard work with the taxation periods.

 

I am very glad to see that while one Captain steps down, another is always closeby to step up and fill the spot. This time, Pyro has been the one to take charge and I am sure you will all join me in wishing him the very best, while keenly looking at what kind of personal touch he will bring to the King’s Watch in Abresi.

 

Lastly, I get to do something I do not do often, if at all.

 

I am pleased to announce the promotion of Frigated to Chief Steward of Abresi.

In this new role, we recognize his continued efforts in support of the city of Abresi and the view we hold it to strive towards.

The rank of Chief Steward enables him to effectively act as Maer, while Joseph Lane is again ill in bed. He has the Authority to handle all the stuff I normally do, such as approve of the recruitment of new Stewards and handling any and all things Abresi 3.0.

 

To send you all off with a cheerful wave of my hand, I wish you all a happy remaining <insert time till 4.0> and hope to surprise and amaze you with a partly prebuilt Oren on that new world.

Maybe.. just maybe.. I can live up to the expectations!

 

 

 

Also I would like to inform everyone to check the notices around town for the taxation dates. While it remains a neverending challenge to find alternative ways to inform people, it does, at its most basic level, remain the responsibility of the citizens to check for themselves when payments are due.

You can find the dates on the pole in market square or in the taxation office in the upper city. Please don’t slip behind and check your taxation chest. Remember: If you find red wool, you already missed a payment and failing to pay again would see you evicted.

However, regardless of the lack of taxes the city has received we are still financially standing strong mainly due to the amount of minas overturned from the last taxation period. Overall we are pleased with the financial status of Abresi currently and it has shown great improvements from a few financial reports ago. With previous financial reports dipping down into the minus’ the city has seen a great turnaround and now is thriving. We are also open to suggestions for suggestions on what to spend the surplus of minas on. We would like the citizens to also take note that there shall be various job opportunities appearing over the next few weeks. I shall also be creating a new notice board near the main entrance of the city where people can post job advertisements.
