The Missing Mali'ame'ker

 Share

Recommended Posts

Several months have passed since the incident in the grove that resulted in the death of Kefi. A certain quietness is all around the collage now as the absence of one of the children that was adopted by the Druidic circle seems to have vanished. The young red-headed elven child seems to be nowhere In sight. No longer happily playing in the caverns below the collage or seen waddling around Malinor's main square. Leaving no trace of her disappearance. Where has the young Stella gone?

Aeras Ibar'ker makes his daily walk through the grove,

noticing a certain spirit gone

"Hrm"

he hums on a not every day tone..

he quickly goes and chedk the canopy housing.

Soon he finds out it was the Mali'ame'ker that is missing.

"Van'ayla young one..May the Aspects guide your path"

he soon after lets out a small whistle..

Soon a large white owl comes flying down.

Aeras whispers a few things into its ears (Hoping it will do what he asked).

then the owl flies away Aeras returning to his daily routines

Yulnii Elibar'acal, out for a walk, notices the absence of a little malii she once saw. The one she translated for... and had to explain certain... things to.

"Hm... it's probably nothing."

She keeps an eye out for the young elf, missing her presence.

Isabella sits by the table in her home, running her hands through her hair. Memories flicker past, though her eyes are closed to hide her pain from onlookers. She wears a frown, for once, appearing to be deep within a prayer, lips twitching as she speaks under her breath.

"Seven... two... four... nine... six... three... four... six... eight... seven... two... one... three... five... nine..."

Noises come from all around, the bustle of her life rushing around her in a sharp whirlwind as always- and yet, she is still. Still and silent, tuning the world out, not by choice, but by the power of repressed memories all creeping in at once.

She slowly opens her eyes, a single tear running down her cheek as she downs her tea, spiked with vodka. Isabella. The healer, the lover, the mother... the failure.

And yet, as her husband enters the room, she manages to perk up, smile never faltering in public, nor around her family. Not anymore.

Ouity Deathsbane tromps into his room in the Grove, mud splattering against the wood as he watches his wife hastily plaster a smile to her face. He knows all too well her torment, but now is not the time for comforting words, they will do nothing for her.

"Chirrup and I have just swept the entirety of Malinor. Not a peep, glimpse, or scent of her. We also ventured to the north... methinks she hasn't come that way, some good new..." He trails off, moving to wrap the short elf in a firm hug. "She will be found... I promise."

Ouity Deathsbane is not a man of many morals or honor. He will manipulate, lie, and kill to his ends; but if there's one thing he doesn't do, it's back down on an oath. With those simple two words, he binds his fate to the lost elf. All uncertainty simply washes away. He has promised it, therefore it will be so. His mind can accept no other end.

Isabella sighs softly, her smile half way remaining as her hand once again finds its way into her hair. She nods solemnly, looking down at her empty teacup as she leans against his shoulder.

"Besides," she speaks as if continuing a thought, knowing that he's aware of the meaning of his words not being lost on her, the unspoken answer of 'i believe you' able to be left off, "She's a smart girl... and taking time to heal is only.. natural."

The word itself is an excuse to make her feel better, but it's good enough for now.
