((I wrote an RP post regarding both rebellions in one of the many threads revolving around this issue. In it, I discussed that the means projects the end and such. Just because you are able to take over a country doesn't mean you can run it. I'm not even sure if any of you have the experience in running a nation. Cracker was actually a nation leader (Rex of the fine War Uzg in Asulon)) prior to Oren.

I'd also like to point out something that several of these posters already have. Constant rebellion won't get anything done. If Carrion rises up and tries to bring down a Tarus led nation, then it will only detract another month from the peaceful roleplay we've had. War is fun, I agree. I am personally a fan of conflict roleplay but you can have too much of a bad thing. We haven't had peace in a true sense since Mogroka was nation leader. Don't you think it's time to turn your swords in for plowshares and have a go at farming for a little while?

However, I have to agree with my fellows in the end. Don't quit the rebellion because it's not popular. If it doesn't make RP sense, don't do it. I may have voted 'no', though in retrospect I would have gone 'yes'. A rebellion will be fun to fight. Though it would be pleasant to make this the final one.))

((I've been inactive for about a year and a half. Now I'm on this server almost everyday because of this rebellion. I haven't had any more fun on Lotc in years, and this is whats keeping me from leaving. If the rebellion fails, it fails, at least I had my enjoyment during the war.))

((Continue the rebellion to create rp. Use the stated complaints in this post to improve it, like put up propaganda posters in rp saying what you wish to accomplish and re-do if the rebellion's succesful, and other things that will gain the rebellion supporters or make it more solid. It seems like some fun rp too, so just go through with it, whether it fails or not.))

[i believe I have actually explained, as Draeris just did again, why my character is doing what he is doing. Slade saw that people did not like being under the rule of the Carrions. He saw this as a way to liberate the people and claim the throne for his family once again. In saying this, it is not specifically a "power grab," but is meant to show that not everyone wants the type of rule that the Carrions have given them. Besides the people in the government and the soldiers, I haven't heard many people say they want Carrions to stay. That in essence is why my character is doing this. People keep saying that everyone loves the way the Kingdom is going, when in reality that is just not true. As I said earlier, it is the soldiers and nobles saying this. The cause is quite clear and it is very relative in the eyes of my character. Also, I took OOC out of the title so lets start pulling away from it and more to the RP posts.]

((The only people who don't enjoy being under Carrion are those whose inefficient titles were revoked or destroyed, along with the occassional villian who is just in it for the chaos. I find your rebellion very difficult to take seriously when your subordinates go into town to cause trouble and slaughter innocents, not to mention many of those who support your rebellion are scoundrels and villains. To be honest, I don't even know of that many 'commoners' who aren't either strelts, guards, or villains. Besides the scoundrels, the only people I ever see associated with your rebellion are house noblemen who have been deposed by Carrion. If you genuinely think that you have greater "people"'s support, then we will see on the battlefield I suppose.))

((As for RP:))

Borikdan chuckles upon hearing that the rebels are unsure of their own cause. The fact that they must go around asking for reassurance only reinforces their illegitimate nature. "I would be rather embarrassed if I was a rebel right now."

((By pursuing the course of 'Violent Uprising' in order to put into place policies that you feel would be best for Oren (Assuming that is your IG goal), you set a precedent for various fringe political parties "Hey, we don't like how things are going, we should REBEL!", as opposed to using more civilized political channels, such as voicing your concerns to those in charge, holding petitions, or peaceful protests. Due to the fact that it is impossible to PK a House, I predict that unless something is done we will be stuck in a perpetual state of rebellion or war.))
