Clergymen shuffle there way to Herendul, laymen carry large chests into Archbishop Castus II, holdings.

John looks around with a unsatisfied grunt, he looks to the Bishops, priests and so on around him and says with a low voice.. "Move with haste brothers, the meeting starts we must choose a leader and decide what to do."

They all assemble in one of Castus halls, John sips from some water from a wooden cup, as he stands. "Tis a sad day our Leader has left us, our nation we do not know the political landscape of it as of yet.. We have come here as I did not feel safe, and I feared for the relics safety some are with us here but others where hidden elsewhere.." He looks towards all of them then nods towards, the Prince Abbot "You may take the floor brother."

Signus Cross looks up from one of the many rows of pews. He clears his throat, standing up straight and tall. Taking a quick moment to adjust his small skullcap. He strides over to the altar.

"Brothers, of the most Divine Institution. Today we gather here today to discuss the crisis that we as the church are currently experiencing. I have suggested that we may continue drafting the canon law so that this may be set in stone. But as many other clergymen here today, the system that this single priest was chosen as High Ecclesiarch is not particularly favorable to any of us. Though before we shout out our sides and declare a war of politics. We must truly think of what we mean to act. We all want to make sure this most Holy and Pure organization stays strong as a bastion of holiness. We must remain faithful against all odds. And truly understand what it is to be High Ecclesiarch. It is not a title chosen by nepotism or simony. It is a title chosen among our holiest and devout followers of the Holy Light and the Creator. Thank you. Deus Vult."

The Prince-Abbot looks down at the assembled clergy as they mutter 'And so it shall be said.' before he steps down from the altar and walks back to the pews.

Slowly Alexios I speaks

"Brothers, friends, and fellow members of the clergy, as the Prince-Abbot we must avoid this falling into a schism. So before we even discuss let us make some simple rules for our discussion so it doesn't fall into petty arguing."

He speaks slowly

"Well like most things brothers, let us be respectful. Not only this, we must make sure that all our actions do not lead to a schism. Thirdly we must make sure all our actions are pure and blessed. That is all I can think of brothers" he looks around slowly "Do you agree brothers?"

Castus nods affirmatively, "It is best that we hold council to make peaceful settlement, no further conflict should come of this.

We must firstly iron out conflicts between the Canon Law and the Bulls of the late Ecclesiarch and the late-rulings of his predecessor Goddard when he used the Church as a political tool to take secular control.

This will provide ample precedent for the council to then decide whether to affirm the seating of Alexios as High Ecclesiarch, or allow for a revaluation and election amongst us seated here today.

As a schism is a fear of us all, I suspect we will come to peaceful conclusion, and each make our own sacrifices to uphold the sanctity of the Church.

This is a matter of the Church, and not of the secular powers that war amongst each other. We are not a tool for the institutions of man, but only for the work of the Creator. Any decisions made as a result of outside interference will therefore be discredited."

Signus Cross glances at Castus as he says this. Nodding with agreement.

"And so it shall be said."

Iosif Ruthern, Metropolitan of Kralta, steps into the room and shakes the snow off of his overcoat as he takes a seat. "Brother Alexios, what am all this about?"

Iosif Ruthern, Metropolitan of Kralta, steps into the room and shakes the snow off of his overcoat as he takes a seat. "Brother Alexios, what am all this about?"

"A trial by the holy creator is upon us brother. Our brothers question, with holy reason, about the succession of mine. This meeting is to avoid a schism. We must avoid a schism at all cost, and this meeting will discuss how, and our next course of action."

Iosif harrumphs. "I was not aware you were made High Ecclesiarch. Shouldn't we perhaps vote on the successor instead of resorting to succession and appointments?"
