The Departure Of Aurelius Evron

[JVQ 1719]

The dim-lit sky slowly faded on the horizon as the sun set. Aurelius 

approached the wild's docks edgily, inspecting his surroundings for figures,

after all he was running. He kept one hand on his axe as he walked the

steps up to the platform cautiously. In-front of him floated a vessel approaching the docks and riddled with small figures scaling the riggings and running the decks.

 

As the wind blew his sailors hat off he walked closer to the sea, inhaling the salty air and smiling at the magnificent boat closing in on his location.

The boat anchored and after about 20 minutes a small rowing boat dropped of the side of the huge structure and began on its journey to the docks.

Aurelius hopped in the water holding his belongings above the water and wading towards the row boat that would later take him to the larger ship.

As he climbed the side of the boat and hopped on the ship cheers erupted the hull of the ship. He climbed the stairs and ran his fingers along the fine oak railing. Aurelius took a captains hat that was hanging on a outcrop on the railings and lined it up on his head.

A first mate walked up the stairs and nodded to Aurelius before saying;

"Welcome 'ome Cap'n Evron"

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile in Abresi two letters are left in the town hall

One addressed to Maer Lane

 

"Joseph Lane, steward of Abresi,

I must make a request on my departure.

Please leave my house untouched for my

return. Furthermore open the shop

to whoever cares to own the place.

I will return some day, hopefully soon.

Aurelius Evron"

 

The second to Ailred Ruthern

 

"My lord, I must leave, they are after me.

I am still your loyal subject and I would die for

your safety. You know this. I will return some day and 

instantly return to your service.
