If you put more than 1 book and quill in a bookshelf it eats the extra ones and only leaves one.  At first I thought it was just me misplacing something, but then I tried it again and it did it in less than 10 seconds.

Is this just for book and quills....or also written books?

I don't have written books.  And the other book and quill disappeared too (but I was offline so maybe it was stolen?)
