Nero was frantic. He had to find the two skulls, the corrupted monsters that ruined his mind, and caused him to fail William's Empire, which gave him the insight to what would happen to William's Empire...

Absolution, the High Overseer of the Tribunal had to know... It had to be brought to light. Nero found them where they were hidden, in the earth, in a rucksack, musty and old, as he touched the harness the voices assaulted him, he shouted and beat his ears until they bled, but they wouldn't go away.

His failures and faults all they whispered now, how he was a disgrace, and worthless. It was true. It was all true. He ran to his horse, then rode fast to Abresi, killing his horse from exhaustion, he ran up to William and Absolution, and tried to explain, but his words were lost and mangled, he spoke to himself, and shouted at figures not there.

His mind was gone, truly lost now. He showed the bag, and knelt, Absolution prayed over him, cleansing his soul, Nero dropped the bag, the voices fading, and starting to whisper to Absolution, to try and break his mind as well.

Nero wept tears of joy as the voices left, he warned Absolution in the end, as a flare of fire, and Nero's life flashed before his eyes, then his last dream, the only one he had seen for over a decade, since before Horen V had even been crowned, when he first found the cursed skulls.

Oren alight, and Nero laughing madly from the Palace as his work was seen, the gates closed and all trapped inside to burn. The screams echoed around the world, dying men trying to save their family, and women holding their children as they suffocated.

Then he moved to the Throne room, his family lay broken and scattered on the floor, disembowled, beheaded, bones shattered, and pulps. He was drenched in blood, in the armor of the First Chaplain, the Inquisition Armor he wore under Artorus Elendil's Inquisition, when he was a man named Patrick.

He sat on the Throne, the Dragon above it screaming and laughing with Nero, its eyes weeped blood over Nero and the Throne, the torch in his hand that wasn't there before he smiled at under his helmet and pressed the blood that was now oil, lighting himself on fire, laughing madly as the Palace burned.

It was an inferno, servants and slaves, guards all trapped in as they rushed to the front gates, then the beams collapsed, isolation groups, smashing those under it into pulps, the chandelier shattered and sent shards out, impaling people with large shards of glass, shredding their skin and armor as if it was paper.

He smiled as his brain was destroyed, the last image he saw was his dream and he loved it, he reveled in it and it truly put him to rest in the way he wanted for best.

William wept a tear as his brother and cousin died, brother by blade, and cousin by blood. The skulls fell from the bag, and he looked at Absolution, giving a look they both knew, they had to be destroyed.

William let Absolution carry Nero off to a temporary grave, before long though, William would reclaim Nero's body and place it at a final rest in a Horen tomb, which Nero had designed and planned for over a decade.

Will of Nero Horen

My son, the last of my kin, Magnus I of Nero Horen and Isabella Horen, formerly Isabella Lavada of Holm retains all my possessions.

I place him under the stewardship of William Horen III 'the Noble' Silver Knigh until he is of age, which be 16, to do as William sees fit with him.

The granddaughter of Nero Horen, Catherine Kamura, is welcomed into the family of Horen, and allowed to take the name Horen if William deems fit, also placing her under the ward of him until Magnus I is of age, and then under Magnus I's ward.

Memoirs of a Madman

I was a madman, but a damn good Inquisitor. Or I would have been... Artorus ruined it all, then I had no time in William's dynasty to do the right thing...

My mind was gone, I thought myself strong enough, but I wasn't. I was overtaken. I'm sorry to those I failed, namely my children, two of which are dead before me, and the one I leave 10 Winters old, fatherless and motherless. I love you Magnus.

I was a fool, and full of disillusions. I should have never been called back when William took his Throne. But my cousin is family, I was obligated to try.

I'm in either the Seven Skies now, or the Nether, either way I don't care anymore.

I hate almost all of you but my family, especially Adorellan Kamura. He is the reason a Horen died. His soul rots in the Nether and I take dark joy in that, knowing he has pain none have ever sought to bring about on someone before.

Letter and Notes

William: You know what to do.

Silus: You're a damn traitor to our blood and you know it.

Alexander II: I miss you my son...

Katlyn: You were my favorite daughter.

Adorellan Kamura I: You better watch out if we both end up in the Nether. I'll make Ibless himself run in fear so I can get to you.

Winters: You are true Orenians, keep the Heartland strong.

Isabella Horen, formerly Lavada: You were a wench, and my grandfather Godfrey married me to you so he could claim the Kingdom of Holm. I never loved you, and you abandoned me with our children.

King Heinrik: You absolved me of my false crimes, and saw truth. You're the King Oren needs, but not the one it deserves.

The Teutonic Order: Damn fine work.

Adunians: What exactly is Adunian Creatorism? We thought you worshiped bears and maces for a while. Oh, and also, Fear the Blackwell!

Stafyrs: I liked your castle more than your town.

Alexander Valois: The Steadfast... He lives in you. Vive le peuple auvergnat.

Dwarves: Thorin was a whoreson. But otherwise you guys are a fine race.

Alexander grunts slightly as he hears of his death, letting out a mighty roar.

"GOD I ******* HATED HIM BUT DAMN THE WORLD. Not another dragon..." He sighs, slinking down into his office chair once

Catherine sits in Alexander Valios's home. She has a small doll in her lap as she listens to the world around her, completely unaware of her grandfather's wish to have her become Horen like her mother.

He glances back in the mail, reading Catherine's letter quietly, looking up to her then back to the paper.

"Go upstairs and sleep, baby girl..." He sighs as he walks down to his room and shuts the door

Lucien II hears of this and shrugs.

"Remove Adunian Creationists."

Catherine nods and heads upstairs. She takes her small doll with her. Her hands still shake from the bunny that turned to ooze in her hands just a few elven days ago. She goes to her room and sits down and frowns, looking out the window.

Magnus sat in the small tent that William and Nero had set up, William was out building a fire for the night, the boy held the old faded crown with a ruby embedded in it, he hated Nero now... He had nobody left, all he knew was his father had left, and not even for how long.

He was too young, all Magnus knew was William was his caretaker now...
