Its in our distinct lore that we are the tanner of the mali' and that a wood elf has cocoa-dark brown skin.

 

Edit: Here is my skin if you want to add it to reference the more darker skinned wood elves, who have serious tans.

Maybe, but many wood elves are blonde, and the lore does say they can be.

Lore is flexible. People who don't want to follow Wood Elf lore won't, and people who do want to follow Wood Elf lore will follow changes you make to it. Change it if you want to. It's not as if it's possible to enforce appearances OOC, the only way to do it is the way the High Elves did, don't allow "impures" into your town.

Because it's a misconception, being peach means nothing distinguishes you from a 'regular' elf or a high elf and the fact a lot of people do it is why this thread has been made in the first place.

When I first joined there definitely was a lack of distinct wood-elf characters. (I daresay, most of the females were re-skinned Links or various anime girls with pointy ears and porcelain skin). I'm glad that the character I created then now properly (atleast I think so) represents someone within the "wood elf" racial range.
