The Return Of Milena Carrion

As dawn breaks on the 1st of the First Seed, 1450 a small carriage accompanied with two guards travelled from Kralta towards Abresi upon the Orenian road network.

The carriage’s windows were tinted so that no person would be able to look inside and the cloaks of the guards were carrying the standard of House Carrion, it travelled down the roads in a slow tempo, taking several short stops on the road where old towns and settlements had been many years ago.

 

 

As the day was getting close to midday the carriage and its guards were slowly approaching the grand capital of Abresi with the royal palace towering up on the mountain, looking down upon the city.

 

 

The carriage stopped inside the gates of Abresi and out of the carriage a hooded woman walked out.

Together with the two guards she slowly started to walk through the streets of Abresi, stopping to look at the market stands, smell flowers in the windows and chat with random people on the street.

They started their climb up the mountainside, walking upon the roads leading towards the royal palace, the guards almost having to help her up the final footsteps, not from exhaustion but from nervosity.

 

She stopped in the entrance hall as one of her guards went to speak with a representative of the royal court, as she was waiting the Lord Privy Seal Farley Stafyr walked out of the throne room together with two retainers following him. The two glanced towards one another as Lord Stafyr politely nodded towards her before quickly departing the royal keep.

Shortly afterwards her guard returned and motioned for her to enter the throne room, she walked in and looked up towards the throne where King Heinrik sat.

She took off her hood and looked up on the king, curtsying deeply as the herald cleared his throat and spoke up loudly, his voice echoing throughout the royal keep.

“Your Royal Majesty, may I introduce Her Highness, Princess Milena of House Carrion”

 

 

King Heinrik stood up, at first he showed a look of shock and disbelief before a smile started to grow on his face, he slowly walked down the stairs from the throne and walked up to her.

He went to give her a big hug, now a bright smile covering the king’s face as he embraced his long lost cousin.
