To former mali'aheral and wayward high elves, across Anthos letters make they way— Delivered by the cover of night by an elf upon a horse. They are sealed with red wax with the text:

Eluhier thilln'ehya iyatheyae karin'ante

Should the letters be opened, it would reveal glowing cyan letters which would read as follows.

elmali'aheral'anthos'nor, eluhier thilln'ehya iyathae karin'ante ito narne. elhaelun'or fiyem'ne iyl'karin. elmali'aheral lomi'onn'ehya tufereyae oem fi'lin. maelu elmali'aheral lar'ehya ceru. lye uhiereyae nae ehier. nae narneh elfiyem mali'nor karim'ento. lye narneh karim'karin'telu'oem.

Kahlan frowns ever so slightly as she opens the letter and stares at the words. Having grown with the common tongue and only little elvish, she went to pull her parents old vocabulary book to search for some of the words she did not understand to decipher the letters contents. "Ah... how I missed opening books like a student, heh.." She snickered to herself as she thumbed through her book.

Tyrnal tries to parse this message but instead ends up slamming his head so hard into his desk that he breaks his nose.
