The Learning Of Masters (Lore)

The Old Man struggled his whole life. For so long he had wanted to learn a new subtype yet the standard idea that only three could be learned prevented him. He had the brain capacity to learn another so he began to try. Perhaps it could be done.

((The crappy RP post above is an explanation for this proposal. Basically there is a problem that master wizards learn 3 subtypes and come to a dead end. This leads usually to becoming less active on that character sometimes because one of the best things about mages is the learning process. What I am suggesting is an easy system where people who have been mages for over 8 IRL months are given the ability to learn a 4th subtype. This will keep them slightly separated from the "Oh I am going to play a master wizard character" people so they can be recognized for their hard work. It won't OP their powers and it will give them the opportunity to be acknowledged and learn that subtype they always wanted to learn.

I would have post this in the lore section but it is locked for some reason. Tell me what you think))

((3 subtype rule was abolished. You can learn all you want, as long it isn't lore breaking, such as both necro and clerical. Remember though, it is not inherently greatly than other forms of combat.))

((I was told by Jistuma it was abolished.))

((Haha is there someone who can give a link or something about it? Maybe a definite answer?))

Jistuma wrote the Q&A on the New Magic "System" so he knows what he's talking about most likely more than the others. Go with his word.

I'll link you to the Q&A i'm talking about here.
