A Letter To The King

 Share

Recommended Posts

A letter is carried into Krelm by a small, agile cat. The letter itself is addressed to King Heinrik, and once delivered, the cat sits and waits, as if expecting to be given a reply.

King Heinrick I,

I hope this letter reaches you well. I write to you on behalf of The Druidic Order. As I am sure you are aware, there is not much interaction between the Oren and the Order. Of course, in large part this has to do with us being branded heretics in Oren lands.

As druids, it is our duty to protect nature, and this includes healing damaged lands. It has been brought to our attention that there are places within Oren that could use use some tending to. We would be happy to do this, however restoring Oren's natural beauty would be a much easier and safer process if we did not need to worry about persecution for being druids while in your lands. It is for this purpose that I write to request tolerance of druids within Oren lands. It is hopefully a simple request, given what we wish to do can largely be seen as a service to Oren in the first place. I eagerly await to hear your decision.

Respectfully,
Arch Druid Leyun Kameki

((The king lives in Krelm, In kralta just so you know. That fort thing in Abresi is for the (decterum who use it sometimes) the guard force. But yeah sending letters to Abresi is fine.))

That 'fort thing' is for the guardforce. Not the Decterum, who have their base at Cavan.

The King does indeed currently reside in the Krelm, but that is his temporary residence till the plague event in Abresi is concluded.

The Royal Keep atop the central hill in Abresi is still very much the seat of our government and adressing letters in the way you did is perfectly fine Kat.

Well see to it that this letter reaches the King.

Who is king Heinrick? Says Heinrik

That would be you.

You are not "King Carrion", the proper way to write it is in fact "King Heinrik".

Consider the following;

King Henry IV and Queen Elizabeth III

Not "King Tudor" nor "Queen Windsor"

Also, in technicality royalty holds no last names but are members of Houses...

Hence why it is "King Heinrik of House Carrion".

(( pretty sure knox is referring to heinrik ending in a 'k', rather than a 'ck'. Still, nice explanation.
