Open Letter To The Grand King

Grand King Wulfgar slowly begins to tap his fingers against his desk as he reads over the letter delivered to him from Gradluff. Running his fingers through his beard for a few moments, he takes a raven feathered quill, dips it into a small pot of ink and begins to write upon a clean parchment.

"To Gradluff the Pious,

Though I humbly respect your opinion on the matter of the Clergy's depiction of the Brathmordakin, I am afraid it is not within my powers as a Grand King to make such a drastic alteration to the faith. The High Prophet controls matters regarding our religion, while I and the Lord's Council preside over him to ensure that what actions he takes are indeed just. However, upon the matter to which you have written to me, I feel rather perplexed. Though dwarven females are indeed a rarity, they are certainly not non-existent. Almora Grandaxe, the wife of Gimrik for example is a rather prestigious dwarven female, known to have long served alongside our kin. I believe our ancestors chose to depict the Brathmordakin in such a way that we perhaps do not yet truly understand. Though I respect your opinion, I will sadly have to say I disagree. Perhaps if these lady dwarves were to take better care to shave their faces, you would have lesser trouble in telling them apart. I wish you luck however in taking up your qualms with the High Prophet Aldal Ireheart.

- Grand King Wulfgar Grandaxe."
