The Strange Bird Girl

A figure completely disguised and unrecognizable steps into the tavern by the cloud temple. She's covered in a black hooded cloak that reaches the floor and a black skull mask. The eyes are covered in thick mesh. Her feet are armored, her hands are gloved in thick black gloves.

 

She pauses by the bar, then looks around for a bar tender. A random man asks for her name.

"Dominica."she half mutters under her breath. She sighs and looks up, staring at nothing, then flips off her hood. Her hair is colorful plumage of blue and green, soft, long feathers like a birds wing.

 

Several people step back in awe, and others stare. She pulls her cloak around her in a shudder, keeping her mask on.

 

((I've been given permission from Jistuma to role-play as Dominica Psittacus, a girl who is covered in feathers over her chest, hips, and thighs. She has longer plumage around her back, resembling a sparrows fan-like tail, and along the outside of her arms. It's mostly white with kind-of blueish tints. Under her mask, her face is covered over the cheeks like a fantasy-swan-ballerina, and her pupils are slitted like a cat. I'd really like to see on the forums how you guys react!))

Daniella, off on her vacation, catches wind of this new freakshow.

 

"God...damn it...first Vithquar...now this girl...The bucket list continues..."

 

She writes a letter promptly after, and sends it off to whats herface.

 

"Dear Dominica,

 

I heard that you are a rather new specimen in Anthos. First there was the Demonic woman, Vithquar, and now you. Tell me, are you single? Tell me also, are you into girls? If so, send this bird back. I have a bucket list, and you've just been added to it.

She sighs, leaning back in her makeshift chair on a beach in the wilds. "Oh boy...this is going to be...eventful..."

*Dominica skims the letter, looking to (Kaylynn or danielle?) and attempts to flash her an apologetic look, then remembers she has a mask on.

On the letter, she writes:

 

"No. I apologize. You seem very nice though. Most people want to burn me at the stake."

She finishes the sketch with a smiling doodle and hands it back to (Kaylynn/Danielle).

Seeming as Dominica can't really see her from the tavern, as Daniella is in the wilds, she responds back.

 

"That's unfortunate. I'm better than most men, anyway.

Your loss, and I would never burn someone so interesting and, birds are usually pretty, so... What was I-

The Shadow Alchemist hears of this bird girl and wonders if it was one of the many failed experiments to create a super-soldier for the scourge at the malinor tower. It surely remembers doing something like so. The Shadow Alchemist sighs "First Vithquar, now this? I should have exterminated both of my creations before they became sentient." The creature then goes back to finishing its studies.

Toriel watches the bird-girl pass with a raise of an elegant eyebrow. She rummages inside her robe pocket and withdraws her silver pocketwatch. She gazes at it a moment. "Tali'ullral-Valah iyl'fin narneyae... kae iller hae tenna par'karinah... " she mutters to herself.
