Jistuma 1996 Share Posted March 8, 2014 So, the Wiki needs your help! And I'm here to motivate you to help! For this contest, we will focus on the History of the Major Realms. The current Wiki pages don't really show much of interest, making it just a confusion of dates and non important events that happened through the nations. So we will change those pages into something more easily read and understood by new and old players. The new page will be something of the kind of: Major History The most important of the page, this section is to state only the important events that shaped the Realm's course. It's the history that every character should know about. Only the dwarves would have the possibility of knowing who their King was, but even the worthless iliterate peasants of Kralta would know that the Undead invaded and in the end destroyed Aegis, and that a group of champions went into the nether to close it. Important characters In every Realm there were important figures that while not all characters would know of them, but they had a very important role in the major history of the land. People like Native, Uhir, Godfrey, Thorin, one of the Tla's, Mogroka, and etc. Other Events This part here would speak more in detail of the Racial Events that happened in that Realm. Anything could be written here about the events, be it guilds, attacks, locations, and so on. This would be to make the Realm seem full and excited. So I will pay for all those things if they win of course! For the Major Events, there would be 3 needing to be written. Most likely the veterans of the server would write about the Aegis history and the Asulon one, but we also need the Anthos one, that many players can write. For the Major Events I will pay the winner, the one with the best writing 2500 3000 minas, so there will be 3 winners. If your writing is pretty good but someone's else is better, you get 500 minas for trying hard, For the important characters part, if well written I will pay 500 minas for each character someone writes. Of course if many write about the same person, only one wins. I'll make a list of important characters that need something written for them, but you can do others. This should be a simple introduction to them, a paragraph, nothing more. Again, this is not their bio, just a paragraph explaining who they were and what they did. If you want to write their full bio, go ahead as well, but it would be for a full wiki page. For the Other Events, I will pay 250 minas for each created. This is simple paragraph, can be bigger or smaller depending on how much you want to add. There would be many of these, so if you need minas for some reason, you just will need to write a paragraph about something that happened. A few things you should take into consideration thought: Your writing will go onto the wiki if you win, and might be changed in the future. You have to agree that your writing might be changed. Something might be wrong in what you write and need changing, even if you win. It should be easily understandable and easy to read, new players would be using your text to learn about the realm. While many events can be written for the Other Events, mostly small events won't be added, they still need some significance in the realm. Don't steal other people's writings, this is a text fully created by you. I think I'll give it until next's week end of weekend, Sunday the 23rd 23:59 GMT+0. Maybe a bit more if people want. This for the Major Events, for the characters and other events, I will give out as they are written. So good luck. Also for the important characters is there just going to be a large list of characters people can look at or is it going to be something on the main page for new players to look at? If its meant moreso for new players then you really should have a small list of actually really important characters like Godfrey etc otherwise they will be skipped over but if its just a large list the more the merrier! Good point, thought there are many characters that are very well known, or should be known, but most of them are from Aegis. From Asulon and Anthos the list goes very small, Anthos having, right now... mhh... 3 names? Actually I went to count, there is 1 name, which would be Thorin. I guess I should add Toveah as well, he was pretty important in the begining. So for Anthos and Asulon there wouldn't be many names, thought for Aegis I guess there are a lot. [edit]As for what to actually write, it would be something like this: Rosso A human who came from Asulon to live in the dwarven lands. He was trusted by the leader of the town, and after the death of him, soon after Rosso was made the Jarl. He has his secrets, he was turned into the side of Setherien and tormented the lands of Anthos with the nickname of the Judge, while doing Setherien's work. In the end he betrayed Setherien, bringing forth the first destruction of one of the Harbingers. The war effectively ended in a Pyrrhic victory in favour of the North Anthos Treaty Organisation due to the decimation of the forces of the Teutonic Order at the Siege of the Dreadfort; however the forces of House Blackmont sustained heavy losses and lost their seat of power; the Dreadfort, to Sariant siege weapons being fired from Castle Greywynn, which was left relatively untouched throughout the war. The entirety of the war was overshadowed by strange sightings in the northern lands and the dark forces brewing north of the Greywynn Gate. The Teutonic order were effectively disbanded and re-organised into the bannermen of House Horen, while House Blackmont and its allies slowly recovered and rebuilt the Dreadfort over the course of several years.
