This means that, if you can't do something mechanically, you can't do it in roleplay, while if you can do something mechanically, it can be done in RP. Climbing up waterfalls is thus perfectly alright, while RPing ropes to get over a mechanically impassable wall is not. The following rules outline the exceptions to this standard, collectively creating a rule known as “abuse of mechanics”.

Highlighted in Red set off my Wtf alarm. Explain please.

I believe it's already explained rather well. The mech standard means "If it can be done in MC, it can be done in RP". One can climb a waterfall in MC using vanilla mechanics, so it's not considered unRP for someone to do so. It's a perfectly fair and logical rule, so I'm not sure why your "wtf alarm" is going off. If you're into a more hardcore RP atmosphere, then you don't have to do such things yourself, but don't be surprised when other people do it and aren't reprimanded.

Correct, that is perfectly alright. So long as you're not doing things like abusing glitches to get over the wall (block jumping, sitting on a chair that is out of reach, etc.), it's fair game. However, as with all things, if you're questioning whether a method or action is allowed or not, feel free to ask (kinda like you're doing right now :P) !

So, are these the official rules of the server? By that I mean, previous additions/ammendments that have been made in the past that aren't on this list are invalid? Also, if you think someone is powergaming/metagaming in an RP fight, aren't you allowed to force PvP now that PvP is default?

If there's anything on the list before that should be here now, it was either compacted into other rules or not relevant anymore - if you think otherwise feel free to post.

If you start an RP fight, as in, come to blows with someone, then you cannot switch to PVP. If you however just emote the run-up to a RP fight, such as drawing swords or loading crossbows, then you can PVP.
