Helvetius 314 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Alright so here is the thing. During the warclaim battle my whole game crashed. Now on only lord of the craft I am getting these weird moments where my FPS drops to 0 - 4 or suddenly my minecraft does not respond at all for a good 10 - 20 seconds. What has the battle done to the server and/or my gameplay?
Demotheus 651 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Try restarting your computer. I tmight have clogged up your ram. Restarts dump your ram memory (temporary stuff) and help that.
argonian 14254 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Redownload Minecraft(update it or downgrade it a version, everything after 1.7 will work for LOTC). I have no reason to believe it'll do anything to be honest, that's just usually one of my first tries at fixing my problems in the game.
Shadeleaf 1022 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Allocate more ram. When you go into the launcher there should be an edit option From there you should see something that looks like the screen below, the args different though This is where we get techy. Depending on how much RAM you have and can allocate to minecraft, try these scaling upwards: 1GB -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M 2GB -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M 3GB -Xmx3072M -Xms3072M 4GB -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M 5GB -Xmx5120M -Xms5120M 6GB -Xmx6144M -Xms6144M 8GB -Xmx8192M -Xms8192M Note: If you're running Java 32 bit, you're only going to be able to allocate up to 4GB of RAM. If you want more? Well you'll have to download and install 64 bit depending on if your computer specs allow it.And that ladies and gents, is how you fix client side lag #PersonalyICanRun16JustPuttingItOutThere
Tythus 1307 Share Posted April 7, 2014 It's actually 1.5GB max in 32bit java AFAIK also as most have stated in the battle there are many other thing loaded that you would not have you can try assigning more ram or lowering graphical fidelity but LOTC the server can't do much to help client lag. Helvetius 314 Author Share Posted April 7, 2014 My Ram is at its maximum it can be at however it hasn't had this problem until the recent battle. My labtop only has 1.75GBs of ram but it has never since 1.4 beta stuttered on short rendering. Now it is stuttering and not responding at tiny distance. I have restarted my computer so later I'll hop on to see if it's fixed.

It is unfortunate but Mojang didn't invest the time into making Minecraft a super optimized game.
zaezae 1098 Share Posted April 8, 2014 Eh, giving more RAM to MC isn't going to fix much, as I've discovered. You can get some garbage data floating around, because programming.
Helvetius 314 Author Share Posted April 8, 2014 Well I ran CCleaner & restarted my computer. The problem has decreased a good deal but still happens occasionally. However most of it is gone so I think if I just run a few more programs to clean up my system it will be gone. Thanks for the help! Feedback completed for me.
