Northmead Threatened By The Dwarves!

-A Courier is sent to the Lands of Urguan for the Kings with a scroll in hand to be read-

"Hail King of Alras and King of Urguan. We understand that most recently the lands of Northmead fell under Dwarven territory. A neutral border town that has never had allegiance and has served all races during the recent war. It has come to our attention that you wish to place us under a Jarl who will control our expansion and tax us by taking food. Should we refuse, we have been notified that our town will be torn down. Why, under a recent white peace with Oren, do you wish to conduct fresh hostile activity towards a town in which even your fellow kin live in? Tis it not enough that we serve your travelers, that we have treated your folk with fair respect?

We wish to remain a neutral border town without being considered a vassal under the Kingdom of Urguan. The Inn and town were originally constructed before Urguan controlled the land on the dead center of the Urguan/Oren border. Will you really threaten a peaceful border town that has been here for over half a year, and its Inn longer? Furthermore by having a looming fortress being a threat to it at all times directly to its North? We do not wish to speak to one of your lords on this matter as this is, to us folk, an extreme hostile action the Kingdom of Urguan is taking towards us."

A letter is returned bearing the seal of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan

Greetings to you friends in the town of Northmead.

The Grand Kingdom had no intention of making you or your citizens feel threatened, nor did we intend TO threaten. Simply put your town resides on a vital peice of land that Urguan claimed when first coming to this realm. However as our kingdom progresses we come to learn from our mistakes, even now we share land with many groups. Druids, humans, Alras, and many more groups. We simply wish to come to an understand with you and your settlement as to the mutual protection of both the Grand Kingdom, its allies, and your town. We apologize for any misunderstand that may have arisen earlier, but that is what happens when you send a military man to do a diplomats work. I understand that you may harbor some distrust, but I invite you personally to come discuss with us all of your concerns as well as the merit of your city and land. Perhaps even a defensive treaty can be signed, we have no qualms with the notion of your independence and neutrality.

Again I apologize for this seeming hostile action, that was never our intent and it is not now

The letter is signed at the bottom with two signatures

Zahrer looks at the Urguan orange piece of wool locked with a sign marking the border claimed at the start of the Fringe. He then looks to the town a few blocks back on the Urguan side.

"Hmmm"
