Definitions

 

This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's!

 

What is roleplaying?: - Playing as a character in a custom environment, that is different to the one you are currently in. But also trying to make it realistic such as talking in character or acting with the personality of your character.

 

What’s metagaming?: - Using a strategy or exploit in the game, or using an external program to gain a benefit in the game. or having outside knowledge that would benefit you unfairly as the other plays don’t know about it. Such as knowing where the best loot is or how to defeat a boss and you use this knowledge to gain an advantage over players, even though your ingame character would have not known about it. This is a problem as it is not exactly role playing. Basically using knowledge that your character would not know.

 

What’s powergaming?: - Is doing something that would not normally work or play out in a certain way in real life. The easiest way to show what im saying, is with an example.

Person 1: steals person 2's money.

or 

Person 1 chop of person 2's leg.

these is uncounterable and person 2 is helpless in  this situation. This would not work in real life. The correct way of doing this should be

Person 1 attempts to steal person 2's money.

or 

 

Person 1 attempts to chop of person 2's leg.

 

In-Character Information

 

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

What’s your character called?: - Golwenor

What race are they (and sub-race)?: -Half Breed(adunians)

 

 

What sex are they?: - Male

 

How old are they?: - 20

 

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - His mother (Rose) was a human, she believed that she was pregnant with her husbands child. But when he was born, it was soon discovered that he was in fact a Half Breed and that it was not Hurst's child(the husband). Hurst was a very proud man, and so were his ancestors, he did not want to shame his family. So he banished Rose with her child from their town due to her committing adultery, but to make it worse it was with someone form a different race(elf). On their travels do find a more welcoming Home, Rose fell ill, as she was infected by the Plague. She used up all her effort  to save her child, she left him on the door step, of the BlackSmith. So that he could have a good life, with both a mother and a father. A few weeks later she died from the plague. Golwenor was brought up by the Blacksmith Brom. Golwenor knew nothing of his true past. He followed his father everywhere as he admired him, as his father was one of the few people who respected him for who he was, and did not mind that he was a halfbreed. Golwenor felt different growing up, he was isolated by the people of his generation. So he spent all his time learning his trade. Golwenor was becoming a talented blacksmith, also he was a very good swordsman, due to his father teaching him. Golwenor was strong from all his years working in his fathers Smith. When he was not working with his father he was hunting, due to his enhanced agility(from being half elf) and his strength he was an excellent hunter. All this physical activity ment he developed quickly, and soon he was looking like a man. When he turned 18, his father told him of his true past. Golwenor wanted to find out more about his Elven side, so he ventured out of the village, on a journey to discover his past. He wanted to find out about their culture history and technology.

 

What are they like (personality)?: - He is often aggressive and violent if angered. Which does not go well with the fact that he is stubborn. Bus he is kind and gentle if no one is disturbing pr angering him. He is completely different depending on those around him and their effect on him( do they make him calm or angry ect)

 

What are their ambitions?: - To become the greater blacksmith than his father, and find out about this elven past

 

Do they have any special skills?: -  He is a blacksmith, and was taught by one of the best. He is a good hunter and fighter(swordsman). He can also track and is knowledgeable about nature and metals.

What are their weaknesses?: - Different, feels isolated sometimes. Does not think things through, just jumps into situations, to hasty into action ect. 

 

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: -  Tall, toned muscles, taned skin. Looks older than really is, wrinkles scars ect.

 

Anything else you want to say about them?: - is scared of heights

* I could not find any village names that were located in The Fringe, so i just left the names out, if this is a problem could you sned me a list of the villages in the fringe
