Well... Thats it isn't it?

 

       Hello everyone of Lotc and the like, Arzota here for a final, little announcement from what was the 3.0 Antagonist. Whether you call us Histguhl, Dark Lieutenants, or Harbingers, we're one and the same, and having stuck around for the 11 months of our existence, I've watched the rise and fall of leadership all the way through. From Chaq to Viper, Gaius and Kahzo, and eventually to Kai and Myself, the fact that everyone has still held strong shows just how dedicated all sides are to Lotc, For that, I thank everyone for making this possible. Now lets get onto some specifics

 

To the Harbingers:

      My friends! Okay lets get sentimental. Whether you were here from day 1 or joined not two days before Sethykins kicked the bucket it is truly you who deserve the praise here. Why? you might ask, well let me put it simply, in a strange way we gave the rest of the server something to fight against, icly and oocly, something to draw the hate from themselves and allow for solid role play against us. You’ve all taken so much prejudice and hate it truly can't be portrayed in words [chatlogs tho~].

      I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for all of you, especially knowing that a 3rd generation antagonist was doomed to fail from the start, and doing your damndest to keep us above water. You’ve each lent something unique to the antagonist as a whole, a different play or combat style that for the most part kept things interesting, hell we even had some amazing builders with us too.

      In the end, we had our bumps, but really only a few wlll ever know just how hard y'all tried to provide fun, through the hate, through the bias, and through the immaturity. Thank you, all of you.

 

To the Cultists:

      What can I say here except praise? If there was one job harder than a Harbinger, it was to be a cultist. Whether in the form of a gen 1 Kambassador, the Farshots of gen 2, or the normal players of gen 3, you weren’t staff endorsed and did this of your own free will and resources. I’d like to give a special shout out to Patriotic and Gwo here, two of the best leaders we had in the group.

      Yall know just how hard you worked, and tough your numbers were few, you represented

a margin of the playerbase who accepted the antagonist with open arms, and tried your hardest to spread rp around of different sort. You were few, but you’ll be remembered much more potently than the masked Harbingers.

 

To the Lance

      The protagonist! Or atleast thats what it turned into, from a support group to a full on faction with a functioning plugin and everything, you provided something to convince many that fighting against the antagonist wasn’t useless, playing a pivitol role in the final days of Setherien.

     For those joined? We all dearly hope you enjoyed the Rp, and for the ET who played the

main characters, excellent job, as they truly brought some face to the otherwise meaningless name.

 

 

[Most importantly] To the players:

      You put up with us even though you made it very clear that you didn’t want us around. For those of you reading this, you most likely stuck around server side to see this all through. I'll be blunt and say that the trolling and ignorance we were subjected to was huge from a few , but still  its better than nothing.

      As always with Lotc. The story focuses upon the players, the fact that you all tried, and on quite a few occasions, made the storyline differ speaks to the true fact of this. Excellent Job everyone, I’m impressed, and you should be too.

 

      Sappy goodbyes and such aside, I’d like to just once more reiterate, 3.0 was possible because of our work as a whole, there truly were no sides through it all, but rather one big community trying to provide fun to itself. Now that thats all over, we have to once more think of ourselves as that, a community, especially now that 4.0 draws near.

      Lines that were drawn between Antag and Player need to be taken down, as so we might all assimilate back into what we once were, a force ready to kick some next-gen Antag A**!

((I'd like to thank the Antags as well for putting up with me when I was with you guys. You're all fantastic people and fantastic roleplayers... keep on doing what you do, and let's get back to our original stories now.

 

I had a blast playing Vak'thuul, and watching all your Harbinger's stories develop. This shall be a story to remember, I feel.

Back in the Fringe, an old man stands up. Over the years, he had seen many horrors. Scourge cultists and Harbingers alike had terrorized their everyday lives. Chaos had been the constant theme.

He chuckles, beginning to write letters to his family. His children, who he had neglected in the fight against the Scourge. He had all but disappeared in the last few years.

It's been a blast. From playing a grotty, evil Gen 1 kambasor to a morally ambiguous cultist from Gens 2-? it was a blast. Things didn't go to plan, opportunities were missed and what have you, but it was a blast. Thanks to Chaqery for the original idea, and thanks to the hard work of all those that made it workable.

 

A big thanks to the ET and Antagonists past and present. Peace to all of you.
