The Death of a Nobody.

Most of you here don't know about a man named Zed Shilver. You will never know what he believed in and what he may of may of not done in his life. After reading this story, you will probably never hear of him again. He will not be a hero that all the people of Aegis will hear about for ages to come. Zed Shilver was a guy would do anything for anybody, a guy who had such a strong disdain towards the Undead that I knew nobody who matched it. Aye, he gave his life for what he believed in.

Zed believed he would be a somebody. But he died a nobody. Zed's life deeds were not noticed. He was a citizen of Winterfell most of his life, and part of the war against the Undead in his last month of his life. He didn't contribute much, but he tried his best.

I was informed of his heroic goals by the Temple Monks. Zed had pillaged to the Cloud Temple in seek of guidance on how to start his journey to become a hero. There the monks gave him a blessing and said in all times of need they would be there for him and protect him from death. I was put in charge of protecting him. I was always lurking in his shadows, protecting him from all his deaths experiences and bringing him back to Cloud Temple to be nourished by the Monks. He never knew about me, and he never will know what I did for him.

Today, at High Noon, Zed Shilver died, in my own arms. It was a hard moment for me. I knew too much about him, while he knew too little about me. There was nothing I could do. The Undead and their slaves showed no mercy and the Diamond blades pierced his body so bad that I couldn't bring him back to Cloud Temple in time. I saw his last sparkles in his eyes, I saw the look of disappointment. A tear trickled down his face, and I remember the last thing he said "I died a nobody".

I am Percival. Former Monk of the Cloud Temple. Currently residing in the forests. I left the temple for personal reasons, but I saw this hero in Zed. Watching over him has made me realize what these Undead are capable of doing. I will not let Zed die in shame. He may be a nobody to anyone who cares to read my story, but he is a somebody to me. I shall put my experience in fighting on the battlefield. I have been lurking the shadows for too long. I will not stand for this. I ask of you, citizens of Aegis, don't let Zed, and the many others killed in this Undead madness, die in shame.

((Let me know what you think of this. It doesn't sound great to me, but I am very critical of myself. I want to start a new character. I feel what I could roleplay with Zed was very limited.))

(( A good read but I felt it was a little harsh on Zed's memory. ))

I didn't know Zed Shilver well but I did know him from his brief time at Alstion. I know I don't trust easily but Zed had a way of disarming my suspicious nature. Maybe it was the fire and determination in his eyes but I knew immediately this was one man who would hold the line. Rest in peace, he will be missed.

((Yeah, I might of been a tad harsh. "Nobody" is a strong word, I guess "unknown" would be a better choice of words. I really did like Zed. He was a nice character and interacted well with the people he met. Thanks for the feedback, I haven't written a story about a RP character in years, dating back to my Morrowind days))
