As travelers make their way through the the Wall of Hadrian and into the Imperial countryside, hammers and the sound of peasants at labor can be heard.  At the east end of the valley, protecting the tunnel entrance through the mountains, 2 gates are lowered into place above a large gatehouse.

A tall Southeron, middle-aged, stands dressed in commoner's clothing directing the flow of work.  The only difference between him and the rest of the men is that he wears a black and red signet ring on his right hand.  Some of those around him hammer at stone while others put up support beams.  Days turn into weeks and the work progresses.

On a day many months later while standing in front of the incomplete tower the Southeron summons several of his men and tells them the following...

"Spread the word throughout the land, the East gatehouse is now complete.  The mountain tunnel has been expanded and it is now safe to travel through by horse."

The peasants, tired and proud of their work, nod with smiles on their faces.

"And if you find pour souls looking for a place to live and work near the capital, let them know that House Frost taxes no one in Count Stafyr's lands outside of Hadrian's wall.  Tell those of a peaceful nature that wish to find a community of other like minded individuals they are welcome.  We will take their tired, their poor, their huddled masses yearning to breathe free."
