The only thing I would like to see is

1. To separate IC and OOC. Stop doing things for OOC reasons and behave how your character would. Don't worry about what your clique thinks because hey, it's RP.

2. Actually be accepting of other people's ideas. If you don't like it, be constructive and say why. Don't be a **** and tell the person to piss off.

I reckon the community is actually going into a positive direction now. Most of the prickish people have left, and Oren for one, is more friendly towards new people. But then again, we're a very hostile nation ICly.

I dunno, there isn't a way to fix people's opinions really..

 

It's easy enough to change that. Oren's IC attitude is what Oren chooses it to be, it's not set in stone.

I enjoy PvP because it is quite fun, I enjoy RP because it is quite fun, but they need to be diluted every now and then. War is common now because PvP and military rp is literally the only exciting thing on the server at the moment. 

I can not believe you just said that pvp and military rp are the only fun things on the server. Those are the only no fun things about this server. I know I can speak for many people when I say there are /many/ other fun creative rps that you can do other than killing each other. Ok I will admit most of them take people with intelligence to do them but personally I found illusion magic rp along with clerical healing magic rp and you know even Parenting rp to be very fun and rewarding for me oocly and icly. My character adopts and Rises kids so that players that are not the best at rp can learn and work together to become productive and peaceful members of the towns they live in. PVP Is not rp and It should not be on the server. If you want to fight someone by smacking them over the head there is the duel option.

 

If you want to steal something be sneaky about it. Rpply find someone to make you an 'edgy' skin. scout out the target you want to hit. Interact with the locals to see when they are normally online but not home. Then hit them when they are not home. Pay off the local guard to even maybe help you into the home. Who knows. 

 

You know what pvp does destroy, Medical Rp. As when you pvp someone they always die and the people that live have no way to know how they are wounded so the doctor's (non-magical) have no idea how to rp helping them. with rp Doctor's have a reason to be helping people and healing them as they know where they are hurt. pvp used to be the last resort again rp powergamer's, and until VAT and MAT were gone I never saw anyone mina's or die me. ever.  The Fun is in the Journey not the Destination Fellow player.

The community is improving. But I see new players being bashed and harassed daily by others who do not enjoy their subtle and basic RP. Give people more chances is all I say! And don't blame the Media Team for not getting new players if we are getting them here to be bullied.

While I'd agree with the general sentiment that the server is improving in regards to how people treat one another, everything you've outlined in the OP would help the server even more. Perhaps it's unrealistic to reach that level of friendliness and reasonable treatment, but it's certainly a good goal.

 

I do also think that it would be good for some players to take what goes on here less seriously, though. If you treat this game as if it were an important thing in your regular life, then you'll take insults (or poorly interpreted/executed jokes) as harshly as you do in your real life, which ought to be avoided.

First off.. for him, that is what is exciting. He enjoys that part of rp, that is what he finds interesting at the moment. Notice how he also said at the moment. It means that he just like any other biological thing is constantly growing and changing and does not remain static.

 

Also PVP does not destroy medical RP. Back in Aegis I never fully accepted the 100% heal thing with wars if I was killed. I always said that I still came out injured due to the high volume of people flowing in during a huge battle. Figured the monks would get strained and push people out when they were stable and able to move, even if it was with a limp or some healing wounds. As for the living not knowing how they are wounded, they can just pm the other person to ask, or use their own brain. Its not a difficult process, using ones mind. Im sure people can unlock the mysteries of basic cognitive thought.

The community is not Okay. As this server stands now it is a pvp Factions server.  with Thankfully a few safe zones. Elitists are not what needs to be cleared out. They try their best and take rp seriously which allows it to move to another very interesting level of role play with people like me are amazed by. People like ZeedusFrostblood getting yelled at for his epic level emotes is not a bad thing. The level of detail some people try to put into this server to make it a better place is amazing. If this is what you wish removed for the common player you need to be removed. We need to set the bar higher and reach for greatness not lower so more people can slide in.

These are all things that are just thrown out the window in a pvp fight, there are also not many people that will take a dis-advantage or put one on themselves for rp. This is why it needs to be role played out. And as for the monks they do not heal you. They put your soul into another body that is the exact state you are in before you die when they bring you back.

Alright, to be honest I never thought Lotc's community whas that good, so much immature people treathening to ban report people for every single mistake you make, and this is only one problem. I'll admit it here and now, I've been an ******* allot, but I'm not the worst, deffinitly not the worst person to talk to on lotc, I've been thinking about quitting lotc allot of times now just because of the community treathing people like ****. I really think Lotc's community needs to improve, all the pricks out there actually need to go. I also think harrasment is something that should be taken very seriously, even though it would be trough skype, harrasment may start as something small, but it can quickly get out of hand and really hurt people deep inside. If Lotc's pricks keep showing up I will probably quit this server once and for all.

I've seen much difference in four months about the community. In my first days, the community was really nice, and helped me and such, and told what I did wrong. But now? I don't see that from alot of people anymore.. and I wonder why? I think it would be best to turn back to the old days, that I dind't experienced with. Maybe a fresh start again?

Apparently you didn't really read my post.. I was talking about non-magical medical rp as well. As I just said, I would assume that monks could not handle the huge influx, and do minimal healing, and send them back out with minor injuries. Injuries that they would need further 'outpatient' care to deal with. The kind that medics are needed for. I never gave a damn about the monk 'lore' because I found it cheap and rather idiotic, a get out of death free card.

Medical RP still exists, being injured still exists. I see plenty of it. You're probably just circling the wrong corpse.

RP is not about getting your fantasies off, its about having fun and creating an awesome story. Idgaf about Redstone Mage Smith Man's emotes because the length of your e-peen is not measured by how much word you can make type of in a few minutes. People can put as much detail they want into the server, everyone roleplays at different paces and everyone is different. No one will conform to your idealistic RP Restriction Emote 15 lines **** because its silly and boring. The bar of roleplay does not need to be higher and we don't need to be so ******* elitist. You are a prime example of the exclusive shits who think that because you can type a few lines of text you are ******* Optimus Prime.
