SodaiKamikaze 652 Share Posted June 12, 2014 Plague Outbreak Beginning of research Test Subject Mk.1 Known Effects damage, slowness, poison, nausea x infinity. Dying doesn’t heal it - Monk magic doesn’t work. Known methods of transition Contact, through physical means such as touching or hitting. It appears that soldiers are the most vulnerable to this. Golem Industries - A research into the recent epidemic. Part 1 With the recent outbreak of plague, Golem Industries has take it upon themselves to combat this menace that has arisen so quickly to infact a high number of the population. This paper is directed towards the Grand King to inform and advise him on methods believed to be able to counter this outbreak. For safety reasons though, copies of this shall be published by Golem Industries to inform third parties. Test Subject 1 - The White Whale ((Nalatac_Aicneta)). Entry Number 1 Test subject one has exhibited an unhealthy constitution as a result of plague. He is facing difficulty, running or even performing physically draining activities. Exhaustion the test subject claims, even stems from the thought of performing such activities. So we must gather, that as a result the plague victims are not very mobile, due to their tiredness. They’re slow due to their tiredness and therefore not a threat if one runs a safe distance away. I would advise that if one is faced with a malicious plague victim that they run a safe distance to avoid contracting the plague. Due to the exhaustion they face, the plague victim will be unable to reach those who’re not yet tainted at this stage in the outbreak. It seems that if the infected attempts to force themselves to run, they slowly take damage which can eventually lead to death. The plague victims, or shall we call them the “Infected” suffer from severe nausea. This causes the infected to eject it’s bodily fluids on another. Whilst this is vile, it is not only a simple side-effect. It seems that this plague uses this as a method to spread itself to others, among one of it’s many ways of doing so. The plague, or as some has taken to calling it the “Khorvads Grip” seems to spread itself through physical contact. Though fluids have known to play a vital part, spreading through an infected urine or sweat. Normally this only works through contact at a close proximity, but it is unknown as of yet by Golem Industries if an arrow rubbed with the urine of an infected has the same effect. It seems though that it is required for some sort of oral substance of sorts to be ingested to infect an individual. It would seem current devices are unable to stop this fluid from being ingested by an individual upon contact, therefore a new type of mask is currently in development. Our test subject claims that his mental state is unchanged, and from our test we’ve come to a conclusion that is so. He exhibits normal behaviour apart from his weak physical condition due to the plague. It appears that the infected who claim they’re under influence by the disease are either lying or are in another stage of the plague. From what we’ve gathered, It is clear though that the subject suffers physical pain from the disease as it eats away at them. This may be the cause for somes irrational behaviour, them lashing out to try and end the pain. But from our information, we’ve learned even this does not help as the Monks are unable to cure those who have the plague. Therefore it is imperative that we come up with a cure as soon as possible. Test Subject 1, has gathered something that may be of aid for us in his journeys. It appears to be mask of some sort, able to stop the plague outbreak he claims. Preliminary test seems to back up the claims, although we shall run further test in our efforts to replicate it. In regards to dealing with the plague, I advise the Grand King for now to quarantine the infected and close off the city to those who cannot prove they’re not infected. I advise upon completion the dispensation of the new type of masks. KUSHerZombie 222 Share Posted June 12, 2014 Rizren picks up the flyer out of curiosity, however she has trouble reading it. She brings it back home, and gives it to Zoltraa to read. Upon reading it, Rizren hopes to find the new 'mask' layout to create with Zoltraa.
