WAR!

"Germany has invaded Belgium, our close neighbor - and our allies in the Triple Entente have already stated their affairs. We must show the glory of France! To war! To war! To war! For our defense, for our victory! To war! To war! To war!"

With tensions rising for decades, the French had been bolstering their army for long. Already, 1.5 million French soldiers set up the Western Front, as continual conscription is enacted. The elite French Foreign Legions are sent North to help defend Belgium.

Going around to bolster Belgium's lines, French Chauchats shred through advancing German troops, as the men begin to dig trenches to defend. French artillery fire back at German ones, many later battles seeming to become nout more than a war of attrition. The Brits are encouraged to help fight back Germany from French lands.

Recruiting occurs in French colonies.

[[i'm a mod here FYI. I don't run a nation I just give you casualty numbers and stomp on your daisies being pushed up.

Americans won't be played for a while, same with Red Russia. This si following the rough lines of history. As such, trenches aren't dug right away and open field combat with standard lines was the way the war was fought in the beginning.

RP the adaption to the trenches, and the sheer horror of liquefied comrades and mud when the time comes.]]

Crown Prince Wilhelm had assumed control of the German army marching on Belgium, and the entire western front to some extent. His men were ready, well trained, and well armed. The Imperial Army stirred and marched into Belgium soil, still fighting the old way like everyone else. Equipped with Gewhers the Germans had five bullets before each reload the French's one bullet arms. The army entered Belgium soil under the advance of artillery fire, and scouting planes mapped the best lines of approach.

The front was twisted, turned around, pushed deep, or repelled, and it was chaos as the Imperial Army marched. Doing what he could from a mobile command post, Wilhelm sent the first line into full advance. A full 200,000 conscripted infantry marched, supported the whole way. As the battle inevitably became confused, the second line of 50,000 men mainly comprised of enlistees and seasoned veterans advanced. Picking up struggling units, and ordering a general advance, they marched further in.

A week full of blood, battle, and never ending death. The Imperial Army had made gains with their first two advances, and now it was time to rest. As war torn units made camp and lived off the Belgium countryside, decimated units were placed together and sent back to Germany for R&R. Reinforcements were sent up, along with much needed supplies and doctors. It was apparent the Imperial Army would march again, and soon.

Got my approval from Stephens to be his West Front general, and Charles gave it green light.
