It isn't an issue on whether I am vocal or not. The times I've tried to be vocal, people make ad hominem attacks such as "Oh God, Gaius is too confusing, he must be arrogant or trying to cloud the meaning". I learned arguing on the internet is futile since cognitive dissonance mostly cannot be experienced, but I'll put my words in from time to time.

but that quote isn't how you should do things. Just because someone challenges your point of views doesn't mean they don't matter. That's a very ignorant thing to say, those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. The reason people care about others opinions may derive from negative reasoning but the challenge of perspective is how you grow and learn from differentiating opinions. I understand where it's trying to hit but a more appropriate saying would be; "Take everything with a pinch of salt, do not dismiss different opinions but challenge them with your own and adapt with what you learn"

The individual personality of every human being If someone doesn't like me simply because of the way I am and have 0 reasons to dislike me then good for them their opinion no longer matters. Its when you give them a reason to dislike you that the quote is rendered invalid because then they aren't "minding" you for simply being who you are but rather they are minding you because you've done something wrong in their eyes.

please take this as someone who genuinely wants to help. That sort of thinking harm's more than helps. Do not dismiss someone's opinion based on their opinion of you as a person, this will only cause you to develop a tunnel vision that is rather difficult to escape. If someone craps on you for the sake of crapping on you then dissect what they say, erase the negative words and you'll be left with the core of why the person may dislike you and use this information as you wish but never dismiss someone's opinion on the basis of them disliking you as a person. This is me giving a genuine hand.

I don't care that there's going to be a new map for 3.5.5. I just want to test out the new plugins! 

 

It seems as though people want 4.0 as soon as possible, and I understand everyone's excitement, but the staff are delaying 4.0 to make it as fun as possible for you! If they were to release 4.0 today, and it's not completely finished, people will surely complain. "OH THIS ISN'T PERFECT. OH, THIS PLUGIN DOESN'T WORK. THE STAFF IS LAZY! THEY DIDN'T PUT ANY EFFORT INTO 4.0!" What!? Can't you guys just wait another 20-30 days for a fun experience? "BUT THEY'VE BEEN DELAYING 4.0 FOR TOO LONG!" They've been delaying it because they saw something that may upset you guys! They keep improving the plugins, the map, etc. just to make it more enjoyable for you! And the staff have lives, too. You can't expect them to sit on their asses all day, and work on a map, and not receiving anything in return. Besides, you guys should consider this; all of this is being done for free. You're not paying for all the time the coders and builders lose in making this map. You're not paying their bills, or anything! It's all free. Give them constructive criticism instead of going, "PFT THE STAFF SUCKS. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT US."

You seem to be forgetting that Hitler saved Germany from a almost certain doom and sent it into a golden age, recovering from a country town apart to a super power. Really the only thing that can be considered bad that he did was genocide, and even then he believed he was doing the right thing and had good intentions.
