Arkelos 1027 Share Posted July 5, 2014 A series of letters have been posted almost on every wall, gate, and sign on Anthos, trying to grab your attention with its vibrant color. "This world is dying, A plague that tried to throw us into chaos had been bested. Though some remain plagued,it is nearly nonexistent. One of the first signs that something was wrong, for not since the days of Asulon had I seen such a deadly disease, this one much more potent in its symptoms. We are still weakened by this, though there was time to try and recover our lives, another tragedy would soon befall us. A Drought, to Uruk kind, they would not know the meaning, however to all not Uruk, we have seen the effects firsthand. Trees withering and dying, lake beds steaming upwards and evaporating before our eyes, the land becoming so brittle that it threatens to rot? What could possibly happen next? The word 'Fringe' was used by the Golden lance to name this place, and the Fringe is known in the most logical of definitions as a Border. For what are we bordering upon? Ruin? Damnation? Are we to simply die with Anthos, with Setherien? This writer believes that to not be the case, for in the Monk Lands where we first entered the fringe, is a shattered Doorway, one that Setherien himself tried to enter to leave the fringe before the Lance slew the Tyrant. Fixing this doorway, opening this doorway, might be our only chance to save everyone within the Fringe, anyone who has studied this doorway should begin to test their harmless theories upon it so we may try to escape this dying world. I fear time is running shorter as I write this, but I shall not give up. We will rise, we will return, we will not die and put all we worked for naught. We shall overcome this." Tsuyose 3285 Share Posted July 5, 2014 A long forgotten figure, Herun Athna, tilted his head having heard the news, standing upon his floating palace as its holy energy radiates out. He would elevate his arm, whistling for a bird as he hastily wrote down on a note before sending it out to the owner of these notes. "Without the three keys it cannot be opened. I bear two of these keys and I know the location to the third; my ancestors took pride in sealing that door and even Setherien couldn't blast through it. These lands, once belonging to my kin have been ruined and ravaged by war among the four, mortal races. however, Anthos has been destroyed completely from the effects of a flood. There is no return." Arkelos 1027 Author Share Posted July 6, 2014 A long forgotten figure, Herun Athna, tilted his head having heard the news, standing upon his floating palace as its holy energy radiates out. These lands, once belonging to my kin have been ruined and ravaged by war among the four, mortal races. however, Anthos has been destroyed completely from the effects of a flood. There is no return." A note would reach Herun after a while, and would read"Greetings, If you recognize the symbol then you may or may not know of who you are speaking with. For now my identity will remain a mystery. However I want to help you collect these keys and get us out of the Fringe. If it is dangerous, and should our adventure be treacherous, I will bring back the allies of The Golden lance, if i am to assume you are one of them. We must not let our kind face extinction. As I can not speak for the leaders who ravaged your lands, I may formally apologize that such a beautiful place has been scarred beyond recognition. There is nothing more heartbreaking then seeing your lands destroyed. But we must continue on. In another letter, upon an Elven day you and I should arrange a meeting, the location will be at your discretion and I will come as a friend. We shall discuss getting to this key and managing the escape in an orderly fashion. I do not forget the kindness bestowed upon the Lance, and therefore I will bestow this kindness back where it is due. For now though, I shall prepare for my travels, and once I am ready I shall let you know. It is time that I continue my work, besides the Druids, who are facing Genocide, there is currently no way to force back the decay of the land. -Stay safe, and with Regards, HS-N"
E__V__O 2000 Share Posted July 7, 2014 A pinned note rests under one of the posters "Hello dear traveler, this is a Elder Monk writing here, my name is Vallei without my title. From my many of years watching over your generations something has remained clear, survival. Though the only thing that has also been made clear is that we do not return to places we've left. As danger could follow. Opening the door way again with the three keys is something the monks will not permit, by the day that we shall not return to what we left for the fate might be released of evil. The goal is to move forward and try to forget those that you've lost. The monks are already working on ways on how we can advance to the next land if needed by due to the problem of the flood. Though water and food will always be given at the Cloud Temple if you would like to gather a drink, or a bath, collect water for flowers or trees. The temple never runs out. We are here to protect you, stay calm and let us deal with the issues the realm has. ~Elder Monk Vallei"
