One’s Name: Kalameet Izalith

One’s Area of Expertise: Arcane Magics, engineering. I'm specifically adapt with transmutation and metal working.

One’s future projects (No time-wasters, please): More study into Arcane Engineering. A notable project is to develop and build a more effective and efficient Mana Obelisk. This Mana Obelisk being the source of power to fuel enchantments within our city. My notes on the subject can be shared for more depth if required.

Will you uphold the regulations of this consortium, knowing fully that disobeying them will lead to you immediate rejection and, should your actions be particularly distasteful, punishment through the law of the Mali’aheral? My projects offer little to no harm to anyone, so it shouldn't be an issue. These tests and developments are to offer our city a technological advancement.

Gathering yet another bundle of papers, and a large tea-kettle from the tea-house's pantry, he begins to write back responses to his applicants in his usual manner. However this time with herbal tea, rather than his usual Earl Grey.

Dear Mr Kaelthes.

I admire your delving into the marvels of anatomy. I myself was quite the surgeon in my early days of citizenship. Some of my more fascinating discoveries within the 'living machine' lead me to my sub-lightning experiments that still continue to this day. I wish you luck in your pursuits, and welcome you to this consortium.

Regards etc etc,

L. Sullas

"Dear Mr Kalameet

My thanks for your interest in this organisation. However, it seems you have overlooked one of the more important statutes of this consortium--primarily that this society is one based upon the study of the sciences, and not that of the outer realms. While some level of magical involvement is acceptable for the sake of furthering study, projects entirely involving the magical arts have no place within this society. I am sure there are numerous other prestigious institutions that will appreciate your extensive knowledge. My apologies.

Regards etc etc,

L. Sullas"

Worry not, Mr.Sullas. It seems I was indeed elected as Okirir'tayna, and so my studies will now serve to benefit the whole chihi regardless. Thank you for your consideration regardless.

To progression and advancment,

Yes as it would only be logical to conclude that joining this group would need such acceptance.

One’s Name: Dasyra Linath.

One’s Area of Expertise: Psychology.

One’s future projects (No time-wasters, please): My first project will continue my research into the physical mind itself, discovering how it operates and which part does which. The second involves the more theoretical and internal thought process, how we learn and how traumatic/significant events can lead to a changed personality.

Will you uphold the regulations of this consortium, knowing fully that disobeying them will lead to you immediate rejection and, should your actions be particularly distasteful, punishment through the law of the Mali’aheral?: Probably.

To Mr Haterin

To my ignorance, I have never been informed of this 'palaeontology' field that you posit. Despite this, I am still intrigued by your wide range of skills. I will be most glad to accept you into this Consortium.

"To Ms Linath.

No. Absolutely not. I will never allow a friend to both necromaners and shades into this organisation. Your answer of 'probably' to the final question furthermore fills me with a curious sense of dread. And lastly, of course, I would never allow an individual into this consortium, based on the practice of a pseudo-science. I recall the last Mali'aheral to explore your 'field' was a Mr Kolyat Alfakyn, and it still holds an unpleasant taste in my mouth. I am sure your services are beloved in that hall of mediocrity and impurity they call the 'Mage's Guild,' but not here.

No regards in any form,

Maheral L. Sullas"
