~=+ An Assembly of Dwarves +=~

The High Prophet comes to stand in front of the lectern, a thick tome bound in leather. He lays it onto the surface, closing his eyes and taking a small breath, and meeting eyes with the flocks of his faithful attendees.

“Ladds and Lasses, with the ileviation of the incumberance of living in a constantly dying land, wage war with the other nations of our shared realm and having to actively combat the coward Gazadriel, the Kirkja Dverga shall now be establishing a fully devoted establishment of worship to the Holy Brathmordakin. The halls you stand in now, as you may have guess from the glorious visage of our great gods mounted on the walls, shall be the location. The name for now, is still pending.”

After a small complimentary clap he raises a hand for silence before continuing.

“We shall also after a long scholarly work considering dwarven tradition and accounts of historical marriages that we can recover, the clergy is currently compiling a codified system of endorsed marriage between man and woman, a service which has often been left to clan tradition.

Such a move comes with good reason, we believe we have found a accurate document of how a marriage was performed before the Ironborn rebellion, and such prestige that would come from using their ancient image can not be put amiss. A public release of the document will be announced within the coming stone week, for all interested.”

Many male dwarves squeal and squeeze each other in excitement of the news of marriage, the women relent, as is such in a 15 to one population.

After a call for silence, he lets out a long breath, and flicks open the leather tome and flicking his eyes over before looking back to the group, and slowly giving a seemingly painful nod.

“And finally, a most  announcement. I bear a lot of pride in every dwarf. Rare to do dwarves commit to such courage to sacrifice their all for us and truly shine as exemplary acts all dwarves should strive to commit. In these moments we see the image of our father Urguan and a commitment to our nation and our people so notable that they shall never be forgotten.

"However doing the work of our gods, the preservation of balance between the races has left us with many good Dwedmar, and as such the clergy announces the addition of two brave men to the Hall of Heros."

“The first great dwarf to come to great esteem stands as Falent Ireheart, son of Roggar and clansman to myself.”

“Falents death to you shall be shrouded, not published, for the dark nature of which the events had occurred and the security concerns they still bear. However, his sacrifice was indeed.. a brave, and noble sacrifice. He died for us all, not his clan or his own honour in a bid for Dungrimms favour. While the shroud of time will all but forget the action he committed his commitment to the sons of Daughters of Urguan his valour shall not. I hope to assure this.”

“Two long years…” He remarks, slowly shaking his head. He swallows forcefully before turning the page and addressing the crowd again.

“The second to be announced as one of our great heroes shall be Hiebe Irongut. Long time father to the clan Irongut, this dwarf taught many in the ways of both being a dwarf, and of magic. Once a king, and once more even an ascended, Hiebe served the kingdom time and time again, going so far as to even propose changes to the articles. Now finally, he has made the ultimate sacrifice, allowing himself to be born again of stone and remain vigilant to protect the faith and the honour of the dwarven people.”

He slowly nods, taking the tomb and adjusting it,

“And lastly, Dizzy Irongrinder. Dizzy has been a good mate to me, for sure. More so however, he has been a exemplar son of Urguan. He has successfully lead a kingdom, recovered the Arkenstone and The Crown of Urguan as well as developing and recovering our ancient arts.

He is the smith of our time however. His long standing achievement being primarily that. He has single handedly crafted masterwork items for the Kingdom's efforts and continues to fuel the progress of the nation.

For this, Dizzy Irongrinder is named a hero in Yemekars arts.”

After a long round of applause, the dwarf in question standing and giving a small wave before being carried out by his clansmen threatening him with a boozing and the flowing out of the rest of the assembly a lone dwarf stands at the top of the Lectern.

He still needs a house Onar.
