Ruins And An Old Enemy

*You find posters hanging from walls along the stone road and the nation capitals*

Friends, Acquaintances, Strangers

You may be wondering, what could this possibly be about?

Well, I’ve recently come across something that disturbs me greatly. A corruption that seems identical to that which the “Undead” used in their assault against Aegis. Many of you may not remember such ancient times, though I can say that I do. Their threat was great, and I believe that our old enemy lurks in the shadows of this realm.

Now, I wish to prepare against the possible threat, though, one old man is incapable of such things. So, I would ask for your help. I’ve found a suitable location that could be defended quite easily, ancient ruins that could easily be repaired.

I invite anyone to this place.

I invite the young and old.

I invite men and women of any profession.

I invite warriors, mages, clerics.

Any race is welcomed here, as long as you wish to protect this realm from the threat I believe will arrive in the near, or possibly distant, future.

Jae, noticing the sign, makes a twitch of his eyebrow. He goes, pinning a note under the one closest to the temple.
"Those who go to this settlement are guaranteed death, no matter fortification. If you sincerely have found signs of the Undead, in earnest, in this world, than going anywhere near them, and provoking them, might very well lead to a repeat of past events. Bad for buisness.

All the best, and luck to your settlement,

Elder Monk Jae, of the Monks of Wilven Adonan."

A note is left.

He is rising, gather your strength as I have. It is him, the Fallen One, the one Gaezardiel omened of. Purge the taint. * The Note is unsigned.*

Kaun replies to this with a note of his own.

"As long as you do not attack them, they will not attack you.

Even now I know a few of the original Undead still remain, but they are at peace.

Until Iblees has returned or they are attacked, they will not attack.

Be safe, do not harm them without them attacking first.

If they attack first, then they are acting out of their commands.

Iblees is not returning so easily, nor the Undead without him.

Do not attack, and you shall not be attacked.

The reply reads this, think of it as you will.

The Reply is unsigned except for,

"~K.C."

Someone leaves a note tacked to the boards, the same singular sentence wrought repeatedly in charcoal; "The defense of nations comes first."
