Petition Of Change- The Legion

Dear Grand King Fimlin and others whom it may concern,

 

    I would like to bring to the attention the current state of the Dwarven Legion and its role in the entire Dwarven Kingdom. As of now, the Legion is in no real way organized nor does it seem to contribute to the Kingdom as the Dwarven military should. As a loyal citizen to the kingdom and its protection, it troubles me to rarely hear of the Legion's work. As of now, patrols, stations, outposts, and overall defense from the Legion is unheard of to me and man dwarves behind me.

 

I propose a reformation of the Legion as a whole, or in the very least, the allowance of a "Defenders Guild" for dwarves to serve the Kingdom under. In addition, a reformation of the Legion or addition of a Guild would no doubt reinforce the Dwarven military's power. As of now, I have to say the current Legion system doesn't cut it. This reformation would include:

 

    -Nearly daily meetings to assure the 'Legion' is doing what it needs to do.

    -Enforced ranks to ensure each member has an active part in the Legion and can aspire to become a respected member.

    -The creation of military outposts to prepare for eventual attacks from outside conflicts

   -The enforced use of military patrols on part of the Dwarven legion to ensure the roads and kingdom are a safe place for  Dwarven citizens.

    

    In addition to this, I would also like to request kingdom funding for this 'new' Legion in order to provide pay for troops. I believe this would encourage many citizens to take arms for their kingdom and join the military. 

 

   I hope you give thought to this as I truly believe it will benefit the Kingdom as a whole. I and many other dwarves wish to actively serve the Kingdom and provide protection for it's citizen's. I hope you give us the chance.

((So basically guys, I want to take initiative and hopefully recreate a new military system within the dwarves. Lets face it, right now the Dwarven military has no real say in the Kingdom and honestly doesn't mean much to the kingdom due to all dwarves serving under the militia. I want to keep the militia as I think it provides help in many situations, however I believe a set military force like the Legion can provide alot to the Kingdom RP wise yet is too centered around PVP. I want to hopefully create a military system heavily based on RP and less PVP aspects. This would allow for Generals and Seargants to also hopefully have a say in the kingdom and it's political decisions and overall create a better roleplay experience for us Dwarves and the majority of the server in general.

 

-Improving the Rp within the Kingdom (Being seen actually talking to the people within the kingdom) +5 Honor

 

This is actually taken straight from the Legion forum post. I feel this is getting completely disregarded though.

 

In addition, I would like to personally say that I would take charge of this heavily, and hopefully provide an RP experience for many new dwarves and current legion members looking for more RP. Thanks for reading and please leave your comments- RPly preferred.))

(Legion should be full time guards. We should not depend a large number but once war comes the clans should be able to form their own corhorts and fight together. Irongut mages and ireheart beserkers would be interesting. Clans could pride themselves on holding flanks and lead the charge if they are given that job

((The main reason why the legion has been missing is that we had some command problems with each grand marshal going inactive, and everytime we get a new grand marshal we have to rejigger things, currently we are working on it and it will be sorted soon, now fim has agreed to give us money for pay and we got a but tone of chain we are getting towards the sorted end of this stuff. Sorry to all the people who disbelieve in the legion))
