Confused About Crime?

What is a raid classified now as? Three or more people? Four or more people? It would be ridiculous for small crimes like two people robbing one guy in an alleyway (Example)as a raid on the settlement. Likewise kidnapping some peasant or merchant. To me a raid is considered a good amount of people in full armor killing everyone and thing. They could even have high end targets like a noble or king.

A criminal offense however? Just like two or even three people at most with no armor robbing or killing or kidnapping some guy in a city/town (Whether it is for money, gang war, revenge, ect...). They may have weapons like swords or crossbows or even poison but nothing too serious in the grand scheme of things when you're in a city with many armored and well equiped soldiers.

In short: What is a raid classified as now? What villainous activity isn't considered a raid in a city/town as well?

Well, I myself have gone in to a city solo to try and do some banditry RP and was accused of raiding. The GMs agreed with the accusation and I was essentially told to GTFO. So... Any form of banditry in a city is apparently raiding now.

It does explicitly say in the new War Rules that banditry within city walls is not allowed.

Villain RP makes people upset. So we can't do Villain RP. bad victims and bad villains are the reasons we can't have nice things.

I think people don't mind as long as it's RP
If you look forward to PvP, then... don't.

So its just criminal activity on the road now...? Can a gm/admin respond to this thread?

From this thread: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/115675-updated-war-rules/

Raid removal consequences
Due to the removal of raids, factions like orcs will ask:"What do we do now? That's our entire RP!"

In that thread, Pok talked at length on why he wants a larger cap. But since the removal of raids, we can just assume it would be villainous activity.

  • They need proper rp before engaging in pvp, and they must make sure all who are present are aware of the situation should they call PVP default.
  • They can only pvp those involved. Killing random bystanders is the same as no-rp killing, and will be dealt as such. If random bystander provokes the attackers, well then they become involved.
  • There are no cap to villainous activity, But that doesn't mean you can bring an army and sit around to bait people into attacking.
  • Banditry may not occur inside a settlement(banditry being defined as people in armour killing robbing and killing citizen inside its walls)

So you can assassinate, kidnap, rob, etc inside of towns and cities.

You can have one or two friends, unarmored with you helping.
You can't go to a town with intent of killing everyone around.

You can't bait people into leaving a town to attack them, so that you can kill them later.

You can't bring armored people into other towns.

Basicly you can NOT attack a settlement, but you can attack someone in the settlement, if you don't bring an army with you.

You can also not start robbing people, ie, go into a settlement and start demanding money from people.

Can't we just set some sort of standard of rp for banditry (even with the aim to pvp) within walls instead of just removing it altogether?

Banditry in armor isn't allowed.
