[Idea][Race] Anubis - Constantly Updating Ideas

This is a race I've been thinking of, and I'll constantly be adding to it, since it's past 4am for me.. Can't think of too much for it.. Anyways, the basics of what the Anubis will be.

Appearance - (( Shall insert photos here ))

-Tall, shaggy Creatures that are around the average Uruk size of about 7ft when standing on two legs. Their coats are thick, coarse, perfect for surviving harsh winters. Their colors and patterns depend on their subtype ( Shall add the different types, since I need to look up one or two of them ) , though the breed of the original pack tends to stay in light shades of grey to white, due to them living in the mountains with the snow.

Behavior -

-Allied to the Uruks due to their love of battle and their strength, most tend to hate other races ( Except the Dwarves. They neither hate them, nor truly like them. Some are friends, some are enemies, it depends on the Canine ) ) . A few left the original pack, preferring to live amongst Humans and Elves ( As long as they follow the religion they are fine if they choose that lifestyle. Only when they go against what they are taught is there a problem ) , or simply in another land area void of things they hate.

-The Uruk allied packs are rather hostile, normally acting as 'guard Dogs' if they are paid well enough, growling and hating any other races. The others are deemed 'tamed', 'domesticated', though they rarely allow themselves to be called a 'pet', being kind and loving, or simply neutral unless they have a reason to hate a certain race.

Where they live -

-The original pack lived in Athera in the harshest mountains long before the others arrived, where even sane Dwarves would not go. A few split off from the main pack, however, choosing to live in the Wastelands, deserts, or simply like their Wolf brethren, in the forests, once the Dwarves started to settle. Their population was few, even at that time, making them an even more rare site if one was foolish enough to go into pack territory.

More information shall come about them. It's just because of the time, I cannot stay to type up much more.

Before anyone comments, yes I have informed her what the name entails.

Are they sapient? Perhaps they could be called the Kragor (plural Kragorim) which is black speech for Fang, seeing as they apparently have a close relation with Orcs. Hundur (plural Hundurim) is black speech for Dog, another suggestion.

Either way they seem like a pretty cool idea, although maybe they shouldn't be quite so favouritistic towards Orcs, instead remaining apart but just respecting them a bit more. Also good luck getting past the wall of osmium that is the Administrations' desire for no more races.

What would be interesting would be to tie some body language into what defines these creatures. Instead of having words for certain things, they should do something: like moving ears, snarling, tilting their head... things like that. Body language is a huge part of how dogs talk so it would be interesting to add that in. I would be incredibly excited to help you out with this, even if there is no chance of implementation.

Thanks for the ideas~ And yeah, some of their behavior will be more Animal like than the Kha'. They'll be more common than the Spiderlings, so it'll be an easier race to get into that's 'Monster ' like

This race seems too similar to the Kharajyr by the behaviour and living with other races. It is just this race is going to be a tall dog pack race trying to be a special snowflake pet race, and a wolf that can stand on two legs.

To make this race work I'll request you add a unique culture and religion that is not done before and useful for entire server, not for the orcs or being pet as you can easily do that by asking a GM to be a pet wolf/dog.

I think the point was that this was meant to be at a basic level. It's not quite finished yet. Give it time to grow. If you bring all the races to a very basic level, I think you'll find that several are quite similar.

This looks really short, and doesn't say much more than "they're dogs who like Orcs."

There's "not quite finished," and then there's "looks like it still belongs in a Google Doc." If something's posted in public that should be a sign that it's ready for any just criticism.

It was posted in the middle of the night for most Americans at least. Just cut some slack. Let the Admins shoot it down, or the Lore masters. Better to encourage fellow players than to shoot them down with little authority to do so.

I'll say this now, at the beginning, so that you don't end up putting a load of effort in on a false hope.

Under no circumstances are we going to add a seventh race.

The orcs and the kharajyr (especially the kharajyr) desperately need players. The dwarves and halflings are managing but are dwarfed by the humans and elves.

Oi, no need to be an arse  at the moment. Be an arse when it's finished.

I posted so I wouldn't forget the idea, since I can be rather forgetful at times, and to get more ideas on what I should I add to the lore. Like I said to the other person, don't be an arse until it's finished~

Also *Totally didn't forget to make it another quote* I do not really care if they aren't going to be added. It is an idea, nothing more. And I see Orcs running about all the time, normally in large packs, scaring everyone. And there aren't supposed to be many of them running about, due to their rarity. They would just be a more 'Monster' like race for players that can't get a Spiderling, like myself. Also, if anything, you should let the players decide, since one more race wouldn't hurt, especially if it uses Kha' bonuses ( Speed boost and jump boost. They still take fall damage, not being light on their feet like the Kha', but they can still jump and pounce on things when active )

It's a little too generic, all the races for example are quite unique and have diverse cultures and backgrounds, make it so they aren't just the orcs' dogs but maybe some culture relating to that idea. And after that, MAYBE this could be added as a playable CREATURE or ET monster, not a race.

I think this is Awesome, but maybe instead of it being a race connected to the orcs it could be like some sort of sister race to the kha. just an idea as it seems to be in the early stages still.
