Ban Reports Need To Precede User Bans

I hope this thread re-affirms the need to keep detailed Ban Records, nobody has time for an un-recorded ban report.

I've been banned 7 times for one offense, and not once has a GM ever put up the report. Sooo, this'll never happen.

Every ban is documented. If it is not, one can simply appeal and they are unbanned automatically. With that said, a GM is supposed to include the ban reason and their name in the ban screen. I'll bring it up as a reminder, but really that comes down to individuals doing what they need to.

Server bans are kept private because of their sensitive nature. Proof of prominent players hacking, cyber logs, the list goes on. It's the sort of stuff we sometimes don't want floating around the general forums.

(and actually it's three times, I can PM you the reports if you'd like. Appeals != bans)

sometimes GMs forget to pm the reports, does it suck, yeah. We're all humans and make errors though. personally i don't think a secret witness would want their name broadcast ed across the forums if they're reporting someone, privately, for rule breaking.
