The Bannermen Of House Roost

 

 

 

The Bannermen of House Roost are sworn to protecting any family, lands, or positions held by House Roost and their liege lords. Upon being summoned to combat, all Bannermen are expected to report for duty, bringing swift death to their enemies like  Griffin on its pray.

 

 

Uniform and Standard Weaponry

 

The Chain and Tabard of House Roost.

The Banners of House Roost are expected to always keep their uniform and weapon about them, as well as their honor. To give the perfect sense of unity and to improve effectivity in battle Ser Brennen ‘The Griffin’ Roost equipped his Bannermen with a single uniform and mandatory set of weapons.

 

These weapons are the longsword, the crossbow, the two forked spear, the double-headed lumber axe, and the heater shield.

 

 

Ranking

Bannerlord: The Bannerlord is only held by the current Patriarch of House Roost or an elected family member of the House. The Bannerlord has command over all Bannermen, and will lead in battle.

 

Banner-Patron: A Banner-Patron is a member of House Roost that fights among the banners, but is not necessarily only a bannerman.

 

Commander: A man elected by the Bannerlord to lead and manage the Bannermen. The Commander may indeed be a Roost or anyone else, as long as elected by the Bannerlord.

 

Officer: The lietunants of the Banners, who command smaller groups of Bannermen and are in charge of helping run drills, and distribute pay and equipment.

 

Bannerman: The bulk of the Banners, they are the soldiers and footmen, without them there would be no Bannermen. These are grizzled soldiers and loyal guards, loyal to House Roost and House Roost only.

 

Initiate: New recruits awaiting trial and interview by the Commander or Bannerlord.

 

Other Ranks and Titles:

 

Knight: A member of the order who has achieved knighthood.

 

Medic: A member specialized in the medical field.

 

 

Codes of Valor

 

The Code of Valor Among the Banners:

• Never abandon a fellow bannerman, if he is injured carry him, if he is dead grab his body, and if he is alive fight by his side,

• Follow the orders of your Officers, Commander, and Bannerlord

• Remain loyal to the House and never dishonor the family

• Do not abuse your weapons, your weapons are your life and you should not use them
