AndrewTech 3330 Share Posted December 4, 2014 An armored, old man was praying atop a lonely mountain. Wind flowed past his white hair, as he knelt in his prayers, sword positioned in front of him in a cruciform position. Mandru VonSchlichten had lived a very meaningful and eventful life. From working as a doctor for VonSchlichtenCo to studying with the Delvers, to helping found the Republic of Gallmore to helping to previously command the Clerical Order, Mandru had done a great many things. And he was satisfied with his accomplishments that the Creator had blessed him with. He smirked, stopping a moment as this went through his mind as he continued to pray to the Aengul Tahariae. "...let you will, and the will of the One whom created you, be done, oh Tahariae." He muttered, as he finished his prayer. Mandru arose, taking his sword with him. He slid it back into his scabbard. It's really not my sword, he thought as he did so. In fact, the blessed blade a weapon that an unfortunate holy warrior had dropped shortly after an Undead agent had severed his soul from his body. Maybe Mandru would have the opportunity to return it someday... yet he doubted this. Until then, he would caretake it like he would the Staff of Reinheardt. "It is time," Mandru turned to a messenger, waiting patiently next to him. The messenger nodded, going to deliver a stack of letters that Mandru had written before his prayer. One would be delivered to every Cleric of Tahariae still in existence. Mandru smiled lightly. For he knew that this endeavor might very well be his last. If opened, each letter would read: To the Clerics of Tahariae, Greetings. Many of you may remember me as the former High Cleric of the Clerical Order, Mandru VonSchlichten. To those of you who may not have heard, the Order of the Sacred Light has been "dissolved", and the Paladins of Xan have splintered off to create their own Order. Never fear, though. I have taken it upon myself to meet with Xath and negotiate with him. The Itharel Ryth and I will be meeting with him in the days to come. In time time of crisis, however, it is nessisary for us to remain together. We are brothers and sisters, and we all share the same patron: the Aengul of Purity, Tahariae. For if we do not... if we do not, the consequences will be severe in the coming days. Therefore, I am calling a meeting of all remaining Tahariae clerics to discuss the formation of a new, Reformed Order of Clerics to counter the actions of our Xan brothers. I deeply hope that you will all attend. God bless, and may the light guide each and every one of you.~~Mandru VonSchlichten ((Time, date, and location TBD. May even end up being an exclusive forum thread. :P Will keep updated on this thread, so please watch.))
Galendar 631 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Amealeo stifles a laugh as he hears of the old bag's attempted return, "We'll see how the Clerics take to this one's escapades. I will never return to stand beside men such as himself and those he surrounds himself with." he grunts towards Xath, striding out of their new keep in progress. Jake the Dog 290 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Jakir is given the note, as he nods softly to the messenger. "If this kills me, I swear." he grumbles out sitting down as he opens the letter reading through it. "Bout time. Still can't aim an orb to save his life, but atleast he knows how to write a letter still." the bearded cleric chuckles lightly, closing the letting. "Well, sure i'll turn up." Kaun 102 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Kaun receives the letter, he smiles lightly to the messenger before sending them off and thanking them. He turns to his forest study as he begins to open it. He looks it over for a moment before grunting lightly, his eye sight not doing so well for so small of things these days. He lays it down on a low branch of a tree as he takes out his reading glasses, and begins to look over it. As he reads it, he nods lightly before speaking to himself, looking to his long time friend, his Dove Serenity, and then to the White Tiger, (Not Kha), that he became friends with in Anthos. "It would appear the time has come for us to return, and not too soon... All we must focus on..." He looks out towards the North, "Is if we are too late.." He walks over to his small desk under the great tree he was studying under. He picks up his satchel and begins to pack a few things away. He has a long walk ahead of him.... one he had recently made to simply get there...
GodEmperorFlam 3447 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Katari glances over the letter before crumpling it up. Trudging upstairs to his study, he grumbles to himself. "Reformed Order... Bah, the last Order was as ineffective as Tundrak was at leading the Snow Elves. I believe I'll show up to this meeting and give these geezers a piece of my mind." He tosses the letter into the fireplace, watching it burn for a few moments before seating himself on a nearby chair. He murmurs a prayer to Tahariae, hoping that he'll be able to yell some sense into his peers.
Gone 869 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Xirena glares at the messenger who brings a letter to her, carefully holding it out of reach of the curious sheep that attempt to bite at the paper. At first she scoffs, this is news she's already heard but when she sees the mention of a meeting her eyes narrow. Her hand drops the paper allowing the small flock to devour it as she heads back into her home. The pale elf grabs what she'll need for the day and heads for the jungle, murmuring quietly to herself. "Meetings have a habit of going sour... Yet curious. Shall attend, see what is said, see what they plan. Base own plans off of this. For now preparations."
Bangi 104 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Cecily peers over the letter she receives while sitting in her office. She peels the seal and inspects the contents, reading them over three times. She sighs, looking at the window. "I don't particularly give two shits but... I shall attend, see what is going on.." She stuffs the letter in her desk, returning to her studies. Ventusyr 233 Share Posted December 7, 2014 Heshakomeu lets out a sigh as he picks the letter up from the Annil'sul balcony outside his apartment. He opens it, and as he reads his single brow contorts in thought. He mutters something under his breath about the procrastination of clerics before returning inside to continue his daily prayers.
