OOC Purpose:
Our goal is to revive trade RP in LoTC. Merchants will travel the roads, not allowed to use a soulstone on a company mission. We will be actively selling and buying wares all throughout Athera. We aim to promote financial roleplay with businesses, lending institutions, misc. We strive to bring you the immersion we all know and love.

 

Location?
We are located in Petrus. As you walk through the gates take the road on your left, it will bring you straight to us.

 

[New] We also have set up a new base of operations in the Duchy of Savoy. It is located in Leuvaarden. We are now partnered with, Guy de Bar, the Count of Norfolk and Baron of Leuvaarden himself.

Merchant (Also Specific Merchants) - The backbone of the company
Grand Merchant
Hired Swords (Guard merchants on runs/events)
Debt Collector
Owners - Ben Avice & Mithius Dalma ((Benben582 or Jonhan2))

 

Foremen, Grand Merchants, and Debt Collectors are promotions you can receive when proving yourself useful and trustworthy. Duties differ.

 

Loyalty? (part-time or full-time)
Your loyalty to us determines if you are a full member of the guild or not. If you have full loyalty you qualify to be full member of the guild. If you are only part loyal you remain what I consider an ‘affiliate’ of the guild. You can live another life, but are apart of the guild and will go on missions with us, your duties are limited.

 

Payment:

All full fledged members will receive payments weekly. The amount is based on performance during the week, amount of duties carried out, and bonuses on site when a mission is carried out with success

 

All part time members receive payment on site based on length, difficulty, and success of a mission. (Laborers are considered part time and are paid based on materials brought in/work done.

 

Services we deliver:
As a guild full of merchants we offer both goods and services. Our goods vary depending on our stock but we can assure you that we have almost anything that you desire.

 

As for services there are many things we can do. We offer services for citizens, business owners, and settlements. Good(s) delivery, loans, debt collection, guild protection, tax collection, trade runs, and merchant events sums up a good portion of what we have to offer.

 

How does this help you?
Will not have to travel far, or at all for new goods.
Access to our trade channels, sometimes finding buyers for your goods for you.
Protection from harm.
Borrow minas or supplies to start up a business.

Merchant Duties:
When signing as a full merchant to the company you are given duties that should be carried out in a timely fashion. They are a requirement to becoming a full fledged member of the Dalavician Merchant Company. You will be paid weekly based on performance of your duties and are expected to be present when needed.

Full-time merchant’s agreement:
No armor better than leather worn during trade runs (will specify when that is.)
No soulstoning on a trade run. (will specify when that is)
Swear to never steal from the guild.
Swear full confidentiality

 

Duties List:

1. Hock wares supplied by the guild.
2. Recruit other members
3. Travel to settlements & find business owners
- Ask about supplies
- Ask about becoming an affiliate with us.
- Ask if they need a loan
- Ask if they are insured (Burglary, theft, arson, failure to pay taxes, animal slaughter, life insurance)
4. Collect Debts
5. Collect taxes

6. Work a shop

Punishments:
- Stealing from the guild will result in removal of a finger. Blacklisted from all trading.
- Leaking secrets of the guild will result in ban from the guild and a possible bounty. Blacklisted from all trading.

- Raiding our merchants will result in your name listed on the bounty board. Blacklisted from all trading.
- Failure to pay debts or taxes will result in visitation by debt collectors.
