Help, Druid Needed!

In-Character:

*A poster hangs just outside the Druid Grove in a very obvious spot, the title written very big so you can't miss it as you walk out of the Druid Grove*

Help!

My son, Tazura, had his ears torn off by flaking two giant obsidian rocks with his head. The sharp shards cut his ears, by did not tear them off completely, but as we pulled him out, his ears caught, were torn off and fell on the ground! Panicking (shame on me for doing this, for now the monks can't help him) I set a meat trap and killed the first thing that came near it with a bow and arrow (which happened to be a lynx). Taking the ears, I sewed them on my son, and let them heal.

Now they flop down and he can’t hear well, but I can’t bring myself to have his ears taken off again. I need a Druid. I have heard they can animate the ears to let my son control them so they don’t flop. If you want minas, take them, I just want my son to be comfortable.

So I ask, in final conclusion, if you are a Druid who can do this, help me and my son, please!

How is It Going to Work:

We could carry the roleplay all out in this forum or you could sign the paper to meet somewhere. That, however, might present some problems, as I would have to roleplay the mom and son, so preferably on this forum. :)

Responses:

You can't do that! ~ I have gotten permission from Zarsies.

A Druid can't do that! ~ Maybe they can't, but according to Zarsies they can.

What branch and tier? ~ "The Druid who does it will know what branch and tier would be appropriate." ~Zarsies; I asked him the same thing.

Info:

I am making a new child character that had his ears cut off, then lynx's ears sewn on,  and then animated (linked to his brain so he can move them) by a Druid. There will, of course, be side effects to having animal ears linked to your mind, some of those include having extreme pleasure when being scratched on the head and liking milk.))

((Fyi ahving your outter ear cut off won't affect your hearing a whole lot, especially if you get it sewn back on - regardless of it's floppyness, or whatever.))

Gwen stares at the poster, one of her brows gradually raising before seeming to outright float away. "...huuuuuh.....sssstrange..." She promptly pulls out a bit of cactus green and a sexy looking pipe fashioned from bone and lights it up, walking away from the poster. "This day...this day..." She mumbles., shaking her head as she takes a good, long draw from it, blowing O's after.

((I know that, the outer ears are flopping down, covering the ear hole, he would be able to hear, but the tip is blocking the passage, so he can barely hear, get it :) ))

((Ah. Well, good old stitches will solve that problem! Sew the tips of his ears to the side of his head!)

((that is an option, if they say they cant do the animation, but id like to try to get them animated first))

((I haven't seen it been mentioned in the Order thus far, so I'll bring it up when I can. Probably when I wake up ^ - ^ ))

((thx for checking :) ))

* Someone writes onto the note before walking away " Maybe you should seek out a Cleric for a healing problem, it's their job after all."

((Well as the Lore Master in charge of Druid Lore now, I will tell you now a Druid cannot attach the ears of another animal onto a person.  You can have their normal ears restored via monkmagic if you like, but a Druid can't make your kid a Neko.  Whatever you claim Zarsies has told you, you are best suited going to an actual Druid LM, like myself or Rittsy.  Besides that fact, a few Druids have killed Neko characters in the past for being abominations of nature only bred through void corruption, in their eyes, so getting a Druid to remotely agree to this anyway, even if it WAS possible, is next to zero.))

The Dove Druid reads over the poster with an increasing squint, wrinkling her nose in a look of distaste. After taking a moment to compose her response, she pins up a new note beneath the poster.

"Lily Sandoran,

I am sorry to hear of your son's accident. Sewing animal ears onto his head, however, will mostly likely simply cause him even greater problems such as infection. It is also entirely impossible for a druid to 'animate' them or connect them to him in any way resembling natural, as a boy with the body parts of a lynx is an entirely unnatural concept. Even if it were possible, which it isn't, he would have a very difficult life being seen as an unnatural abomination by many.

I suggest you remove the animal's ears before they begin to rot and bury them with the rest of the creature you killed. Find a cleric or ascended who can mend his original ears. If that is not possible, many people have had to live with cut or shortened ears, and I assure you he will be fine. Continuing to pursue this unnatural combination of boy and beast, however, will only bring you both pain and strife. I pray the Aspects guide you, and bless your son through this difficult time.

~Dove Druid Elorna Lle'hileia."

This is not possible by any druid magic, and probably also impossible for clerical or Ascended as well. Zarsies may have said it is, but he's not an expert on druidism. It might be possible with Jistuma's contract magic, so contact him if you really really want this to happen.

((Yup, Clerics aren't doing animal ears. If you wanted the ears back the way they were, then we could do that. But attaching animal ears to the kid isn't what we do.))

*Lily receives the note and proceeds to write back*

"Thank you for your concern, I see now how horrible it would be to live like that.I also thank you for helping me notice that, although I will hurt him removing them, how it will save my little boy lots of pain in the long run to remove the ears, as well as the threat of infection. I have removed and buried the ears. I will take the poster down as soon as possible.

((Any other druid-concerning thing will ask Menarra/Lillith or Rittsy, thx for not being blunt and putting it nicely :) ))

((I thought I was blunt, but I like Neko's irl and I wanted to let you down gently if possible.~))
