Have you had any bans or strikes? If yes give a link:

I’ve had 3 ban reports on me, all written between mid 2011 - very early 2012.

One was where I “Failed” to communicate that I was going to pvp an undead that casted lightning at me initiating pvp mechanics. The other was well deserved, I entered LoTC infuriated with real life and paid in ban time. (I’ve changed since, it’s been 4 years.) the last one was very badly handed by I believe it was Pallino, who accepted my Villain app but never read it as he thought I was acting out of my spectrum, which I wasn’t. I can’t find links to these, sorry.

I was banned recently for extreme torture RP, a confusion between the Staff Team and myself.

Why do you want to be both a builder and an actor for the ET?

I am an old, rugged player. I’ve been through all the antagonists this server’s endured, participated actively (As antagonist) in one of those and even fought against the same force (As protagonist). I feel as if I’ve endured through this server, and matured even within the very boundaries of Minecraft. I’ve seen people come and go, yet I remained. I’ve read, written, agreed with, or disagreed with lore and ideas the server has produced. I’ve been part with some of those... But I always feel too passive. I love LoTC and would defend it like a lion mother protecting it’s cub, I have nothing but good intents with it. I may seem a little old-fashioned or even cliché-ish talking like this. But this is true. I am sometimes hot headed about things that can change what has made me love LoTC, but still, I strive to adapt and keep loving it the same way. It seems as if I find him home on these blocks, a shelter perhaps.

As an actor, or builder, I feel as I’ll take a more active stab at the Server. I’ve already helped the server in Anthos and Athera’s build stages, building a dungeon that I believe will be used by SupremacyOps, a tower currently under Aesterwaldian domain, and a few other things built with Ziko99. As an actor, I try to always read lore and I think that by now my knowledge can be comparable to any Lore Master. I know how each race, magic and mechanic works, or at least the way I read it. I’ve been known for cheesing certain things, not to a crazy level, but I strive everyday to stop these, I recognize, very unpleasing attitudes by me.

Why Actor? I want to take an active role in events that occur in the server, I want to feel like I’m part of it every time, like I felt when I was a Harbinger or Golden Lance. I want to feel my impact on the server so that others can have their impact. Not just a witness, not just a passive watcher, but my duty as a lover of LoTC to help it improve in it’s rich lore. It may sound like I’m applying for Lore Master, but the fact is, once you’ve been in a part of members who have a staggering influence on the server like the Harbingers, Undead, Golden Lance, Dread Knights, Mage’s Guild, etc (I haven’t been involved with all of these.), you feel as if you, while you were part of these, were part of something bigger, something where your opinion may have not been the most important, but the actions of the group simply performed such staggering impacts on the server, and you weren’t just another one of a line, you were not only a number, you were a part of something, and that just changed my whole view of LoTC.

Why builder? I love building. This is known by friends and a few. I’ve actually participated in 3.0’s and 4.0’s build stages because of simply showing Native, at the time, that I had the skill needed to perform the building up to standards of any other ET builders or official builders. I committed myself to several projects. In 3.0 I helped building roads and caves along the road, which you’d find as a random discovering. In 4.0 I had much more work, working in the Soulsand lands building roads, bridges and some shrines along the way, trees and such. I also created a ruin dungeon, north of Aesterwald, and a tower near that region. I also created several ruin settlements on the Mesa region, with wood and such, with the help of Native.

Building is an amazing thing to add to LoTC. By combining the duties of an actor and a builder I get the most dynamic mechanics to work with. I will be able to both add mass to events and to participate in the mass I create.

What are some of your most treasured builds? (screenshots if possible):

These pictures are of a Dungeon I made, I believe SupremacyOps and the ET claimed it. Hope I don’t spoil anything.

This build is a tower I made, and with the help of Ziko, we put mushrooms all over it, I made all the structural base building and indoors building. He said he’ll confirm this.

Do you hold any other staff positions?

Currently, no, but I was once a guide, until the team was let go, realizing we didn’t serve a purpose different than Global Moderators and Application Team.

What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?

Khrell’Os (Inactiveish) - Past Harbinger.

Dormin Doomforge (Active) - Doomforge Clan Father

Vargul’Gorkil (Inactiveish) - Orc Playa.

Doran Bonehill (Soon to be played... Hopefully) - Daren Bonehill’s child.

The Watcher (Inactive) - Ancient Paladin turned renegade.

Pick three of the following building styles, and show us a build, of yours, that corresponds to each choice.(terraforming, organic, medieval, high fantasy, underground)

Underground, medieval, and high fantasy.

High Fantasy

(Built in Ravand.org. I can show you that it is indeed my plot.)

A becalming gaze washes over as you look up the rolling hill, the wind howls as the peaking house stands lone. Bright colors adorn it’s made with bright wood that seems native to the region. You look up to the house’s entrance, a broken arch, probably taken by the wind as it stands out in a rolling hill. Yet the house stands, protected by it’s stronger build, it sports 3 crystals, floating as naturally as the rock sits on grass, they wobble reacting to the wind, but stay put, as if they were the guardians of the house.

Underground

(Built on Survival... So as to find a nice cave, this is only slight mods to a cave, I can do much better if I’m given a better canvas.)

An ushering hum rings the cave low. It rips apart the stone, the dust of old still rattling the air below the ground. As you come close, you notice a statue staring down at you, wielding a great hammer with both hands, warding the ancient threshold. You gaze past him, a hallway, that sings of outstanding fashion, decorated with a ripped linen, but held in place by a trimmed stone border, the flag of an ancient kingdom... It stretches, you yell, and three echoes of your voice are the only that return to you... You have found an ancient realm, you know this for sure, it is time to venture forth, down to darkness, down to the ancient times themselves.

Medieval

(Built on Survival. Here’s a few development screens for reference.

)

A breeze rolls through you, as you near this makeshift house, it is comprised of different wood pieces, with an arched style of wood carving. A stone fundament holds the building together. A tree stands in the way, a willow that rains down leaves onto those who pass the path. You smell the smoke that erupts from the chimney above the house, and feel the humidity of the grass as the stone shifts beneath the feet as you step on the path.

Are you an independent builder, and are you capable of handling all aspects of a build?

I can handle all aspects of building. I can also build well with people, which is why I think I’m good for ET, I can adapt to other people’s styles to form a single style, uniform along the build to keep it cohesive.

Create two distinct RP scenarios/events that are based on the lore of LOTC, and that you would organize. 1) For a group of 5-10 2) For a group of 20+

1)

Title;

The Cavern Deep

Number of people;

5-10 people required.

Extra Details;

This event would play as a sort of dungeon. Where an ET would play as a “Dungeon” Master, controlling environment and different aspects of the event. Another ET can lead the group, but this can work without the lead of another ET playing leader.

This event requires a forum post or something near Akovia about livestock going missing.

As the event unfolds, the ET leading the event would RP as stones falling onto the members and other natural, before facing the final threat.

Event Details;

As people go past the road near the crossroad of Akovia and Petrus, a breeze gusts past the road... Suddenly, with a shift of stone and rattle of rock, a cavern entrance appears from the ground, revealing a self-collapsed cavern of old having revealed itself after what appears to be many years of confinement. Suddenly, with a small noise alike a hum, a light begins lighting up the road, coming from the road.

953ef521e4.png

As people came by, and a crowd gathered to investigate, the door would open up even more, trembling the ground near the road. The hum would then stop, as the stone seemed peaceful, and the cave easily accessible. As the group went down, (To stop more than 10 from going in) they found a wooden bridge, weak in build, it could not stand heavy or large individuals. (No armored persons.) The bridge seemed feeble upon touch, and as ten persons passed, it broke behind them, leaving others either falling to the pit or simply stranded on the other side... This however left the group stranded from one exit.

911f99d049.png

As the group regathers from the bridge’s felling, the hum continues from beneath, the tunnel stretches down, broader than any of the previous stages of the cave. As they come even deeper, the stone hallways suddenly lose all their natural look to them and walls with incredibly intricate carvings now surround the group. As they go down they hear a growl from right behind them. Turning their gaze around, A giant hand emerges from the darkness, pushing over one of the people in the back forth, looking to make some of the group fall over. The figure comes closer, identifying himself as a troll. It munches on some chicken bones. It roars as he notices the amount of people in his cave, and he begins racing after them.

If they would attack him, he would flinch back, trying to tackle them, he would back down to the bridge cave. Here he would make a final stand. He would ultimately lose, but he’d try to at least kill one of the group members, or take him down with him as he leaps, or falls down the crevasse.

If they would run away, he would lead them down to a larger round cave, with an entrance that leads to Akovia’s outskirts (Swamp outskirts.) In this cave the members would find dead livestock, and a chest filled with assorted junk, broken armor, and a few damaged golden scepters, that brandish a carving in the material, the inscription; “Khaz’A’Wyrnum”, it would be written in common, but with a dwarven font. The make is obviously dwarven.

2)

Title;

The Stone March

Number of people;

20+ (Nation-wide event; Aesterwald)

Extra Details;

I would require a few people, from 10 to 25 to form part of the event. A forum post should be posted detailling several cities experiencing mass waves of disapparition of people, and different leaders encourage people to stay at home when the sun sets.

Event Details;

The dusk in Hanseti was quiet. No chirps, no shuffle, and only silence plagued the land, along the corruption and the undead taint. Only a few miles away, stood the Kingdom of Aesterwald... The city of Vanderfell, heart of the kingdom stood peacefully as ever, the chirps of birds filled the windows letting the fishermen know it was time to set enterprise home from the lake, farmers to throw seeds unto their lands, and hunters and warriors to return to the halls to drink and feast upon the night... But there was something else. Something was wrong. The air felt as if a presence was now where it wasn’t before. The south gate shuffled.

eb4a55acb2.png

From it, the guards looked out, and saw the impossible; An army was approaching, followed by a spectral silence. The guards would yell out to arms as the army approached relentlessly. The army stopped at the closed small gate, before bringing in an apparent siege weapon, which broke the gate after a few minutes. The army walked in, and as people saw it up front... This army was tall as an orc, but no emotion or wobble in their movement, they wore armor made of stone, rough in finish and rugged in several edges, you’d notice a sadder look to them, and a red glow to their eyes. A golem army had invaded Aesterwald. The army stood still, looking at the people that had gathered around. (People would then be encouraged by an ET or by messaging the leader of Aesterwald that they should attack)

dd914cd762.jpg

When people attacked or where initiated on charge by the Golems, they weren’t exactly well made, and upon the force of the defending army, fell pretty quickly. When the force was obliterated, another shuffle was heard from the front gate, another small force of Golems arriving, charging at the remaining force of Aesterwald.

When the force is defeated, one of the golems’ head talks a word before it’s final silence. “Impera... Kill... Below... Hieben”

If scouts were sent to Hanseti, Nerezza and Hiebenhall, they’d find different paths of stone, leading up to several caves. Hanseti’s cave was empty, though it appeared it had once contained something, but was cleaned recently. Nerezza’s cave, found to the side of the road, had some letters aimed to a certain “Golem Master Anvilim” and were written partly in dwarven and partly in common. They were signed as “The Shadow”. The letters were basically explaining the needs of a golem army to teach the young races what is to truly come. Hiebenhall’s cave however, had a few golem sentinels that attacked whoever came inside, and were much better built than the ones at Aesterwald. Within this large cave, one would find a man working on a table, apparently working on a golem mesh. He was working hurriedly while screaming to himself so he wouldn’t of heard the group coming in. As the group inspected the room, they’d find three identical tables than that the man was working in, but completely bathed in blood. The man, now identified as a Dwarf, were screaming nonsense, but only a few words were made out; “The Shadow is lies” and “The Shadow now dies”.

If the man was killed, he would simply gasp out “I was tricked” and pulling on a lever aside his table, letting all his research and documents burn before the eyes of the group. However, this would also allow the group to see the man was “Anvilim” and he had killed the Shadow, and had bound him to a Soul Shard, and was building his golem corpse.

If he was talked to, interrupted, he would erupt in a monologue, explaining that the Shadow wanted a superior existence, and explained to Anvilim that even if he was a golem master, Golems were much more, golems were a philosophy of the mere aspect of perfection. And he pleaded to turn Anvilim into a Golem, so that he’d make Golems for the Shadow for all eternity. Anvilim explains he resisted and knocked the Shadow unconscious, not before being sprayed with a hallucinogen and poison. Upon investigating the substance, Anvilim found the substance would kill him in a few days, and he began working on the golem army commissioned. He kidnapped people, and the army was soon complete, but all of it’s members were “Red” Golems, he continued yelling and whispering, changing his tone like a mad man. Red golems were golems that would try to kill him if he gave them the chance, so he sent them away, miles away, days away to Aesterwald to die. He explained he, however, prepared a final golem. He had earlier killed the Shadow and bound him to a soul core of Mage gold, and would put him into a final golem, which according to him, would destroy the world and all of it’s corruption. Anvilim decides to attack the group, as he yells forth a force of Golems that were hidden on the halls behind the Dwarf.

When the group finishes this, they find Anvilim has fled towards the end of the cave, and now stands dead, surrounded by a chest of  golem plans and schematics and three chests, with the signature of the Shadow carved onto them, filled with gold for the making of mage gold cores.

How long does it take for you to complete a build?

It takes about 1-2 hours to finish a small build, as it takes more detail into account with smaller build space. Larger pieces can take more time but they always shape up quickly with World Edit (Due to copy paste being the most useful tool ever. Point.) I think I’m not so slow of a builder, but I am a detailing *****, so I can spend hours on end detailing something until it looks good.

Tell us how you plan on constructing a large build, a medium build, and a small build.

When I build large builds, I like grabbing magenta wool for outer walls and outer outline on ground level, this allows me to have a better sense of scale. I then like to have the blue wool to outmark the height, and red at the top of the blue pillar so I know what will be my maximum height. Sometimes yellow at some point to mark the minimum height the build must reach, so I can work with arches and pointed roofs. I then pick from my palette and either sketch or look for pictures of what I’m building in Deviantart, and fit what I draw and sketch to Blocks and the style I’m working with.

Additional details (Do you know how to Voxel? World Edit? Craftbook? Etc...):

I can worldedit, but I need further attunement to Voxel. Craftbook, I can perform simple commands, which I believe are the necessary.

How long do you plan to stay in the ET?

As long as life permits me to. I’m an university student, but I have never abandoned LoTC in 4 years, so count on me.

Tell me a trick about building (eg: floating torches, custom heads)

  1. Use signs for immersive details. Smell, climate, these help the players set themselves on the environment MORE than you imagine. This sets the difference between a scenery with love and tender care from a stale just beautiful placement of blocks. It adds a story to the place. I use these a lot on my builds.

  2. Always have a palette at hand, and I like to sketch the building style before I build anything. This helps you have a cohesive style when building and even allows you to build faster, since you know your do’s and don’ts with your style. You can bend your style a bit on rooms or buildings of importance to give them a grand “standing out” look. This ties in with tip & trick 3, as this’ll help you build faster, knowing the materials you’re using.

  3. Size = Importance to people. The first thing you must know when planning out a settlement build, or ruin build, is the biggest thing will be the biggest “Eye-magnet”. Plan your builds according to this. Don’t have 100x100 commoner houses and 100x100 noble houses or you’ll build will have a stale diversity.

Tell me what you want from the ET.

Cookies, cupcakes and chamomile tea.

As explained in why I want to be an ET. I want a role, I want an active stab at Server-wide events and I want to participate in them, I want to stop being the passive player I am and take a stand up to help the server in it’s core featurette, which is it’s roleplay.

I verify that the white tower's structure above was all Darkjames.

Now, where do I start!

This certain individual, I must say, is an excellent builder that is definitely what the ET needs. He has fresh ideas built on a series of RPGs he has played and always makes storyline plots for his builds. Even while his build examples might not seem the most impressive, once you get this guy building its hard to criticize his builds. Darkjames works amazingly in a team environment as well. I have experience with him as he helped me build the 4.0 Taiga and all its intricate ruins and such. He is a great person OOC, and knows enough lore to be considered an unofficial Lore Master.

I have to vouch for darkjames. He would be a great addition to the team, and I urge the other ET members to test him IG. He's proven his worthiness to me, and I guarantee that he will prove it to the whole server if he is made builder. Also, Darkjames works very well with Dwarven and Ruined builds, a skillset I personally feel we need desperately.

A heartfelt +1 from me. Good luck with the application. I'll be vouching to get you in as fast as possible.

I've seen alot of situations with you powergaming and being a general nuisance in looc. I can feel justified to support your builder section. But I do not believe you should be an actor, we need more dedicated builders instead of half ones.

Would you mind explaining where? I remember only interrupting people that spammed LOOC lately. And not any instance of powergaming... :C

You explain them as "Lot" of situations, I would like some definite ones because I don't recall any.

Your attitude could of changed recently, but I remember during the temp maps, various encounters with the high elves and the humans lead to ooc conflict with you. I am still sticking to my original proposition of trying to focus on one of the positions, instead of  both.

The problems with Leo were settled and the whole matter was him taking things out of context and me overreacting to his out of context. Pretty simple stuff, no Looc abuse as you speak of, and no powergaming, simply misunderstanding from both parties. Other than that I have had no, and I mean, NO interaction with High Elves in Temp Maps, I only visited it once when HE were being allies with Humans and watched from far away. Human RP, I haven't roleplayed much in the Temp Maps, the only issue back then was an execution, but I didn't say anything, my friends who died did... I don't know if you're mistaking me for another person, it does seem like it. None of my conflicts since Asulon has led to OOC conflict, aswell... So sorry, it does seem you're talking to another person! If you'd like to refer me these in private to avoid a rather giant charade of me talking to you, so as to keep the thread clean from repetitive subjects!

But seriously, I don't know much of what you're saying... I really hope you're either thinking me another man, and not making it up because simply you don't want another actor, but need a builder... :/ I think this is unlikely, and I keep to it that you've got the wrong man.
