Forward note; We decided that it was time for a FRP that wasn't fantasy and we needed a break from it. Perhaps another time we will return to it.

 

1860 (FRP OOC)

 

1860. Napoleon III seeks to revive his predecessor's Empire, Prussia is on the rise and Austria becomes less and less a German power. The British have a massive Empire supported by colonies and trade. The United States will be thrust into a conflict over slavery, and the East fights the colonization of greedy Europeans. It's a time of industry and fire, economies backed by the barrels of  soldiers, businesses protected by private armies and exploitation of those who fail to defend their own borders. Everywhere has a flag, some have two while others may see the same flag rise and fall many times. Dark days are coming and only the brave and stalwart can prove to be an aegis for their people, their ideals, and their ambition. Bold generals and sly politicians keep the world from falling to chaos.

I would point out before 1867 Austria was not a dual monarchy with Hungary, it was still a purely Austrian-ruled Empire.
