The Maheral's Affirmation

Years ago in our old home of Annil'sul I was put into the position of

Elsohaer. During this time many of the other relative political figures

simply vanished, leaving those of us to deal with the political situation

with the mali'ame.

I will not deny that my judgement was clouded by hopes of seeing peace

between all mali. Kalenz Uradir also suffered a clouded mind at the time

and soon after was rightfully marked temporarily ill of mind.

The Sohaer wishes to condemn me but here I will stand to affirm my

beliefs anyways.

Kalenz Uradir is hardly anything less than brutish when it comes to

political and social matters. He alone caused many issues for our

kin. However in these times Uradir is exactly what we require

and since he no longer suffers any affliction the choice before

us is obvious.

The mali'ame have wronged us and given the chance will

attempt yet again to tarnish silver despite any words they

say to speak otherwise. I know this because I was the one

to feel the effects of their dishonesty which lead to the

attempted genocide of our people.

The Maheral is meant to offer cultural guidance yet if the

mali'ame had their way their would be not culture or people

for me to guide.

So my kin, stand with me. Stand with Uradir. It is only through

the culmination of our collective energy that we shall progress.

To divide over Uradir's judgement is to allow those who live below

us to trample and demolish our existence.

A brute. A naysayer. A righteous path.

Progress as I have, lliran. Do not let

others tarnish silver.

I affirm the judgement of the Sohaer.

Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, Mali'aheral.

"Peaceful internal disputes are a necessary thing in any properly-functioning nation. They occur when voices are able to sound, free of the penalty of death for dissension. It is this ability to conflict with each other in polite, intellectual fashions that differentiates the Mali'aheral from the mongrels." Ikur remarks to Buubz, which would likely occur in a passing conversation between the two. His tone is matter-of-fact, perhaps even overly confident.
