A Pained Plea

A young girl would post letters out for the people and leaders of the elves to see. The writing, while elegant, was more forced than usual and covered in stains of tears.

"Malin would be disappointed in you all.

I a child of Malin, a follower of the aspects and a believer of peace, have watched as both silver and wood clash. I have seen the good in both and the bad in both. I, whom has never done harm to either nation, has been targeted by mercenaries hired by those of Silver because I am deemed impure for my ELVEN blood.

Why? I have fed them, helped them, and been nothing but polite to them. Now my life and the life of my family are in danger. Just because I am of ame descent. I stay away from the conflict. I fight for neither side. Nor have I complained about the ahearal coming into my home to hold secret meetings.

Why must my family and I, suffer for mistakes made on both sides? I do everything I can to make peace. I pay the kha in food to keep them away and off my land. I pay the ame with crops to keep my land safe and protected. I pray to the aspects for guidance.

I even offer knowledge and food to the Ahearal in hopes of keeping my small farm safe in the upcoming war. I ask that if you really demand my death, then so be it. I will happily write to the sohaer himself for a meeting for my liquifaction if it will appease him enough to spare my children, my fiance, and my home from further procecution. I just want peace and to farm.

Lilliana, the Kitten Druid"

After posting the notes. A sugar glider stays next to the Sohaer's office with his own copy.

Isabella's finger slowly taps her desk, a long-legged bug crawling in circles around her other hand lazyily. She watches it, a frown on her face. She knows this is not something she is able to interfere with, and she tries not to let that upset her.

Ramza stares at the letter after some time, looking down to his own little one, his ears droop alittle. "Lilly.. Please do not throw your life away.. Some of us can't lose you..like your mother.." He bites his lip looking away holding his chest tightly. "Neci, where are you.. When she needs you..?" He murmurs to himself as he continues his way home.

Katari frowns lightly, shrugging as he glances over the note. He scratches his cheek idly, talking to the person who is distributing the note as if it'll make a difference.

"People are assholes. Build a wall around your home, stick to places you know, run if you see people in armor or pretend to stand still... Almost as if you are... away from reality... Keep your nose clean. Not much else to say."

Rael Ith'ael takes a quick look over the letter, having been shown to it by Kalenz.

"Though we indeed have our differences with the mali'ame and 'ker, the girl should not feel down. In Haelun'or, we have no issue at all with freeing her or any other from their worldly impurities. Liquefaction is, of course, a humane and painless process we can offer."

Gwendolyn stares at the letter, frowning. "I want to kill every last one of those who follow Kalenz..." She growls, lightning arcing about her hair, making it stand up ridiculously on end in random places. "s-s-s-sick...phys-phsycopath's!" She shakes her head vigourously, holding it with a groan. She stares at the ground, eyes wide, then relaxes, sighing.

"One thing at a time..."

Puerir grins, amused by the druid's beliefs of Malin and, in general, about the letter.

"Such a naïve girl, honestly. Although, given how libertarian the druids are, I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually a man."

Oh what Malin would do if he saw his children.

Duvaindir gives a thousand-yard stare towards Rael, benumbed by the surrealistic utterance. He motions for a copy of the letter and writes the following:

"Firstly child, have your parents read this. I am not persuaded whatsoever that you are an erudite and you will not comprehend what I will say. Flee then to your Druidaic Grove and tend to their soil and play in the sands. You are but a child and should not even be brought close to these engagements - may your parents be damned doubly for being poor parents and for not placing you in guardianship of the Grove. Lastly, do not claim knowledge of Malin for none of us are well aware of his character for no written records provide us the necessary insight. Oh! And please do not abuse your animals, there is no tree high enough for your glider to glide from and you seem to have forced it to crash repeatedly into the walls of the Silver City - I advise you against this lest your Archdruid found out."

This letter is sent off, his stare not lifting from Rael and approaches Rael.

"You are requiring an astute education because you made literally no sense with that last part. Please make sure you don't speak publicly because I might break blush out of the utmost embarrassment - Ullran"
