dirtryhary 26 Share Posted February 24, 2015 People of the White Tower The army at Illian had been built up silently since before it was a town, and they were ready. The fort now named Lugard loomed in the mountains and kept watch on sea and land. Illian itself was under way to receive stone walls from local quaries. Their maritime trade for now was solely with the Sincans, yet the profits were large. Rare commodities sold well to the rich of Tar Valon. The transports that had been built filled the beach. Fifteen thousand men boarded them, and they separated into two groups. Ten thousand Sentinels, twenty Aes Sedai, and their attendant 40 warders went west hugging the coast. Forty galleys sailed with them, and some holds were full of supplies, extra arms and armor. Some of it was distinctly smaller, as if the army intended to outfit children. Five thousand remained near harbor to begin actual training of being a naval solider. To the western plains, the community had developed into a growing market town. The land around it and some of the forest has been cleared for agriculture. Soldiers kept the land safe and peaceful, allowing for undisturbed growth. The market town named Falme was small and unwalled, but troops there did as much work as they did soldiering. A road is to be built linking Falme to the capital Tar Valon, to further increase the territory. An Aes Sedai with a force of craftsmen and laborers find a suitable spot on the coast near Falme. They would build a military naval port, primarily meant to house, repair, and build the Tower's ships. A garrison of Sentinels would help keep it safe as it was underway. Some of the five thousand under naval training are sent to the port dubbed Fal Dara to help keep it safe and finish their course. Aes Sedai with any affinity to water are sent packing to the navy. The large advance north continues, trying to draw out the ent. Behind them the forest is cleared and soil tilled. Hardy men would set up here, to keep the frontier and land gained safe. Watch towers and way forts run along the rugged country side, to help warn of any beast..or worse. The party that spoke with the halflings sent the diplomat off and good in stride. They grimly put on their armor and followed the diplomat. Obviously not intending to harm him, they instead asked to have chance to build the halfling military up. They would train the rabble to the best they could, and avoid conflict with any other foreigner within the land. Patrol ships are sent from Illian due south. They wished to map out what was south of their peninsula, and where the bugs in Tyre rumored to have came from.
Kaun 102 Share Posted February 24, 2015 Event: White Tower As the people expand further North, they find that the Ent does not come forth, but rather now, the Trees themselves are beginning to to groan and sway as people walk near them. Some reports are of people being attacked by the roots, branches, and even the animals that live in the forest. However, the Ent does not come forward as of yet. Event: Sejan The urge to go further into the Swamp grows greater and greater, the minds of the people now constantly think of the Swamp with no apparent reason. The things they see lining the ways into the Swamp only grow more valuable, useful, and needed, but are never close enough to touch. Event: Swamp Surroundings All people near the Swamps border now feel the urge to go into the Swamp, everyone getting the feeling to go to its center. They as well begin to see the valuables lining the way into the Swamp, but as they near they only find it in a different spot further into it. Alphalord 31 Share Posted February 24, 2015 The Nation of Escyye Now with the seal keeping them safe but contained is broken, the Raxien's begin work on expanding their population for the first time in years, digging out new caverns and opening up once more the tunnel to the surface that once brought them to their caverns. Once the tunnel is opened once more and a group of Raxien's is sent up to adapt somewhat to the sunlight, something the race had not known for countless years. Plans are begun to recreate the ancient ships that brought them to the island which they reside on, using golems primarily to work the wood while armor for the new ships is forged down below. Though to begin with the ships they work on are small, as the council of ancients and the council of elected had decided that Escyye must learn what is going in the world before anything else. Once the scouting ships are made, they are crewed by the Raxien's most adapted to the sunlight and sent in each direction to see what land there is, and where Escyye can dig into and expand. Stephensj 327 Author Share Posted February 25, 2015 Empire of Honisberg Ulrich The newly crowned emperor would chuckle slightly, looking over at the queen. "All you must know is that I am now the Emperor of this land. I am very interested in our partnership and its preservation. However, a very urgent matter has approached to me. News of armies to the South and west spring up every day. I fear they turn their gaze upon my land, and if they take it, surely yours next?" As he finishes speaking, he would look up, the doors to the court opening, and the forestian diplomats coming in. "Well, I will be with you in a moment." He then turns his gaze back to the queen. Grand Knight Wilhelm The elder knight would ride up to the halfling mayor, glaring at him from under his helm. "We are servants of our newly crowned Emperor Ulrich. He seeks land on your eastern coast to build a port. If you accept, you and your people will be treated fairly. If you deny, we will take the land we require by force. The choice is yours." Conflict: Southern Sea As the Illian fleet moves along the coast, they would suddenly spot another fleet. The 40 warship fleet of Honisberg appears on the Horizon, heading straight toward them. It appears the fleet have spotted them as well, loud bells ringing out from their ships. The situation is tense, and if something isn't done soon, it might end badly. bickando 3967 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Joen de Archa Joen nods her head slightly, ponderingly and turns to one of her knights, exchanging a brief conversation after which the knight hurries out. She looks back towards Ulrich, nodding. "As long as you allow my army access through your lands, I will send my main force towards your front. Thank you for your gracious invitation to war. At the same time, I wish to give you the gift of two hundred bars of iron, which I brought in my supply train. If I had been informed of what was happening, I would have brought more, but it is a token of a friendship between our nations." Nodding to her retainers, she bows again to Ulrich and turns to leave, the supply carriages unloading the Preuskil gift and purchasing food for the journey to its rendezvous with the main Preuskil army, then setting off. The Empire of Preusk Jean de Metz stood in his commander's tent, the rider from his Imperatrice relaying her command. The fourty-thousand man and woman army of Preusk moves from their post in Valles-by-the-Forest and marches towards Preusk's border with Honisberg. If they are allowed in, they would continue their march until they reach its southern border with Gimblewood and the White Tower. 10,000 soldiers still stay in the Preusk homeland, watchful of its borders. Heff 2460 Share Posted February 25, 2015 The old halfling snorts with laughter, taking his pipe out of his mouth as smoke billows from his mouth. "Ye won' be takin' no land from us biggun. We aren't as easily s'epped on as you think!" Meanwhile the halfling village stirs to life, nearly 2,000 halflings total stroll up to the knight hoes, axes, and shovels in hand. The mayor grumbles at the knight "Oh no Ser! Yer no' takin out ports you'll be facin many more than this ragtag bunch over East!" In the distance outriders explode from the village towards all edges of the Shire, proclaiming the threat given by the new "Emperor'. The Harvest Guardian slowly transforms into the Winter Spirit, getting extremely angry. Bugs, snow, and cold wind sweep into the North, aiming to destroy the BIGGUN HARVEST and put the armies of the enemy hungry. The Winter Spirit retires to his windy caves above Gimblewood, falling into a deep sleep. Meanwhile the halflings whip into a frenzy, mounting horned board and strapping armor and swords gifted by the White Tower onto their mounts and bodies. Stephensj 327 Author Share Posted February 25, 2015 Empire of Honisberg Ulrich He would nod respectfully to the queen before looking to the forestian diplomats. "Greetings esteemed allies, what brings you to our court today?" Grand Knight Wilhelm He would laugh loudly at the halflings and their gathering. "Mark my words, you will regret this." He would ride off back to the main group, before riding off. Honisberg The Nation prepares for war. 40,000 troops are mobilized with catapults and trebuchets, gathering near the halfling and illian border. They set up camp, waiting for full strength as they set up camp for them and their Preusk allies. Meanwhile, the iron from Preusk is converted to steel, and taken behind closed doors, a weapon being developed. Meanwhile, rationing is forced in Honisberg, the Senjanian harvest proving to still yield but the heartland harvest failing. Much food is grown in the north, and herding begins large scale to feed the armies.
Kaun 102 Share Posted February 25, 2015 The Diplomats bow lightly to Ulrich, the tallest of the group stepping forward. "Greetings, new Emperor of Honisberg, through our Counsel we heard of your arising to the throne, and came to greet you, as well as propose a deal. A deal that would take the conjoined effort of our kingdoms to accomplish. Off of the coast of Ruhenheim, lies an island, one you have likely already noticed. With this recent finding of foreign ships from across the realm, we propose to you this, we create a fortress upon the island, spanning its entirety to defend Ruhenheim and our ports from sea invasion. This would be a simple task, one kingdom could do without the other, if it was not for the possible threat of what lies on the island. As your people and likely you have heard, something roams that island, something massive. No one knows what as of yet, but until we know, it is best our nations work together to see to it this fortress is made and completed, to ensure the safety of Ruhenheim and ultimately both our kingdoms from a naval threat. If, this deal is accepted, food shall be supplied by The Forest City as well as lumber for ships and ports to be created on the island. All that would be required of Honisberg is the obtainment of stone for the fortress itself. Thus keeping the balance of both kingdoms being useful without making the deal more favorable to one than the other." The Diplomats await Ulrich's response. dirtryhary 26 Share Posted February 25, 2015 People of the White Tower The White Tower's navy halted in a well made crescent, and a single ship sails halfway to the Honisberg fleet. The Aes Sedai and five others were onboard, and sought to talk to whoever was deemed to speak to them. They would wait patiently as bowmen kept their arrows in the quiver but the hand not far away. Aes Sedai sat on the prows of the ship, communing with the spirits. Shai'tan worried at what might happen hovers over, watching and waiting. The trees rebelling against the people sent tremors back to Tar Valon. People remembered when other Ajahs held sway, and only wanted peace. The Red still reigned supreme, but they were convinced to halt the advance. The damage would be allowed to regrow, but the steddings remained. Land around the major cities in the forest had long been cleared, and more trees in the south were as well. They would feed the growing navy in the ports of Illian and Falme. The market town was to receive wooden palisades as well. A road connected it all the way to Tar Valon, and more troops and caravans arrived. The south was a bustling hive of activity, as the north was a more rugged frontier. The Honisberg Empire on their borders would not be repelled, but they would not leave their throat open either. Sentinel Rangers with men from the steddings head into the north. They are to lay supply caches, set up outpost, and scout. Maps were sent to Tar Valon, and the plan is debated in the White Tower. Most clamored for war, but wiser heads held them back. The people were peaceful and the other Ajahs were growing in power again. Instead troops are called in Tar Valon and Camelyn, as portions of the over staffed garrisons from Illian and Falme return. Aes Sedai in the north now simmering at the half of the advice are called back. All Aes Sedai not on a mission are recalled to the White Tower. They would come from all corners, with their personal retinues of warders and guards. The Sentinels are told to be ready, but kept in their city barracks and way forts. The newly trained navy and their galley fleet head towards the military port. They would be initiated their, and keep the waters safe. Their actions would prove if a active marine force was needed and effective. Many preferred keeping to land and the forest, but people of Illian were more of the sea. Scorpions and catapults are to be crafted by Aes Sedai and craftsmen, and placed along the wall as a defensive range capability. The extensive homes and barracks in the ravine under Tar Valon are stocked with supplies and troops, always tense.
ShadowoKing 86 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Nyth Collective The population reached it max of 160,000. The new farmlands were helpful to maintaining the food supply to stable level, more were produced after the day Setherus taught them of new food supply. The capital ship was constructed, a boat size of a man of war with two Spinosaurus roped to pull the ship for tense speed to the ship and it's temporary until they have need of the Spinosaurus. Their naval fleet numbers tripled due to their small sizes and simpleness of their ship designs. 25 ships in total. The acceptance of trading and protection for the Halflings of Gimblewood. Few members of the 360 Nyths return back home with the goods and their leader Quetzal. The rest of the Nyths were instructed to have a good time and made sure to scout their surroundings, if any Halfling dare to disrespect a Nyth they can slaughter the Halflings. Quetzal instructed more troops sent to the Gimblewood for total control of the area for all Hallfings know they are friendly and offering military support. The boats and the capital ship were boarded and lands to the shores of Gimblewood. 2,000 troops were sent at a time but in total of runs were to sent 60,000 trained Nyths so in Gimblewood, in total of 60,350. In the last run the capital boat has Quetzal on board, the boat lands on the shore and Nyths have a small camp to surrounding the boat. Two Spinosaurus stood guard, Nyths made sure they brought enough shipments of food for this encampment plus a hidden container. One of the small boats were sent off to Honisberg with Quetzal's son, Mixcoat. To arrange diplomacy for the past temporary alliance with a possible ally that helped against the sea god. The boat is small with 60 Nyths in total roughly well equipped with iron weaponry. The Nyth Collective banner was raised high when they drew near the docks, Mixcoat would ask to talk to Honisberg Emperor.
Stephensj 327 Author Share Posted February 25, 2015 Empire of Honisberg Volkhardt He would laugh loudly at the winds from the halfling god. "Didn't anyone teach him not to play with fire?" Ulrich He would ponder the forestians offer for a moment before sighing. "This would require man power that I cannot spare. All of my men are required on the Southern front right now. However, I will consider your offer and respond within a weeks time." With that, he would nod respectfully before they are escorted out of the court. Hours later, he would be surprised when Nyth diplomats enter the court. Upon seeing them, he would break into a warm smile, standing in respect. "Welcome, esteemed friends. You are welcome in my halls any time, but I am guessing you are not here just to visit?" Admiral Schmidt A small row boat would be launched off the capital Man-o-War, approaching the Illian boat. A burly man would stand at the front of the boat, dressed in formal naval garb. As they approach the man would call out. "Greetin's foreigners! I'm Admiral Schmidt, commander of the 3rd Fleet of Honisberg, what is yer business approaching Honisberg waters?" Southern Army They stay directly on the border, in clear view of the Northern villages. Trebuchets and Catapults are set up, and large masses of troops gather under different banners. No major action is taken yet, but clearly soon.

ShadowoKing 86 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Mixcoat At least ten Nyths with Mixcoat in front march down the hall, Mixcoat confused on Ulrich's reaction. "We are friends, then diplomacy shall not be long." The marching Nyths halt in respectful standing distance from Ulrich. "I am Mixcoat, son of Nyth Collective ruler, Quetzal. He's the one sent me here to make sure we are on the good terms, alliance and any assistance you or we may provide." Few of the Nyths mutters and small talk to each other in disgust of creatures they are witnessing. Mixcoat gave them the deathstare which they quickly fell slient. Army in Gimblewood One of the scouts spotted the Southern army on the north border of Gimblewood, the scout returns back to Quetzal with this news. Quetzal shall not make any action until his son returns.
Stephensj 327 Author Share Posted February 25, 2015 Empire of Honisberg Ulrich His friendly demeanor slowly fades after the witnessing of the formal response and mumbling of the other Nyths. "I see..." he says, sinking down into his throne. The many Chancellors in the hall quickly exit after witnessing the Emperors changing mood. In their place a seeming Kingsguard walks in, most of them standing at heights are 6'5-6'7. They wield longswords, moving at each end of the court. The Emperor would look up, staring at the Nyth once more. "I ask nothing from you besides neutrality. A war is coming and I understand your people are close to the conflict." Southern Army A large commander would approach the halfling upon a war steed. "Greetings, small one. I have no authority over the armies general decisions, so I offer you a chance to come to our Capital to speak with our emperor." Scouting Boats The boats sent from the southern islands would discover the Peninsula of Gimblewood, Nyth Islands, and the island to their West. If they approached it, they would spot small bands of Preuskans moving about the coast.
ShadowoKing 86 Share Posted February 26, 2015 Nyth Collective Mixcoat "Would you give me a moment." He grunts. Mixcoat twirls around angrily to grab one of the Nyth's iron spear from their grasp to stab upwards in the Nyth who was continuing muttering. Mixcoat pulls out the spear to have the Nyth fall to floor. The Nyths turned to look slient at the fallen Nyth, two Nyths at the back took the fallen Nyth from the arms and dragged the dead body across the hall to the exit. Mixcoat turns around to give the Nyth beside him the bloody spear. "Sorry for thee disrepect of my people, they are new to this whole diplomacy. Anyway, neutrality is all we require, and what is this conflict you speak of?"
