Cpt_Noobman 1954 Share Posted February 15, 2015 A letter is sent to the Lord's Council. Due to loose tongues, it would likely be common knowledge for any interested in learning about it. It reads... "To all members of the Lord's Council, including Lathros Irongrinder, Uldar Irongut, Hogarth Irongut, Akvar Ireheart, Dormin Doomforge, and Grand King Zahrer Irongrinder. I believe I speak for all dwarves of Urguan when I write this letter, though I may be mistaken. I would request that all the citizens of Urguan, be kept more informed on the happenings of the kingdom. I suggest this be done by allowing the people of Urguan to elect one scribe, who has permission to attend all lords meetings and otherwise, at our court, or a foreign one. The purpose of this scribe is not to speak at these meetings, but rather to go unnoticed, and quietly take notes on all the discussions at these meetings to release in a report for all the citizens to read. The purpose of this suggestion is to increase awareness of current events in the dwarven population, as well as create interest in politics, and help the capable leaders of tomorrow be noticed today. I believe this suggestion would also create a greater sense of patriotism in the dwarven people, and increase trust in our kingdom, and the people running it. Thank you for your time." Lathros 377 Share Posted February 15, 2015 Lathros slowly reads over the letter, before placing it aside and grabbing his quil. He slowly dips it into the ink, writting a reply. "Dear Clan Father Fili Grandaxe, We appreciate your concern for the Kingdom. However, as it has been seen before, we must hold the Lords and the Grand King to a revered positon. We must respect these positions and the collective or private descisions these persons make. As we allow the Lord and Grand King position to become more and more public the reputation and the reverance as to which we hold these titiles diminishes. We have not had a successful Lord's Meeting as of late, or rather, since the enactment of the Lord positions due to the increase in their responisibilites compared to that of the Thane's Council. However, back to the topic at hand. Each and every single amendment, or any important descision is viewable and is shown to each and every single dwed. It is best for the general public to not disturb the Lords during their meetings as to not influence the desicisions they make or cause them to become angry, which could also indirectly influence their descisions. Best regards, Lord Chamberlain, Lathros Irongrinder"

Only this one scribe would be allowed in the meeting, their to keep quiet and take notes rather than add his or her opinion. If they do disturb the meeting by action or word, then by all means evict them from the meeting, or remove them, and a new scribe may be elected." Lathros 377 Share Posted February 15, 2015 Lathros purses his lips as he reads the reply, in reply, he writes another reply, "Of what purpose is it to know exactly what we do or say, why is it so important that you must know. As long as you are informed of what is known of the end accomplishments of our meeting there seems to be no need of one person writing down what we all say, the actions we preform, or the arguments that go on. I hope you take this into consideration, if you have any further questions you may write me another bird. Best regards, Lord Chamberlain Lathros Irongrinder"

Lathros 377 Share Posted February 15, 2015 "I see nothing more reliable. If the people are informed of what the Lords did what is their use or purpose of needing the knowledge of what it took to get us there? Best regards, Lord Chamberlain Lathros Irongrinder" *Vulkin Walks up to Lord Chamberlain Lathros Irongrinder and begins talking in a clear but kind voice only voicing his opinion and concern that anyone else in the area could also hear to also voice their opinions.*"Lord Chamberlain Lathros Ironginder Oi am Vulkin Frostbeard previous leader of teh Frostbeards many years ago. OI have been absent from the kingdom and only recently returned and wish tuh lend a hand tuh all fellow dwarves so that we can rebuild teh Kingdom and beh prosperous once more like days of old. OI wish tuh see teh kingdom bustling in maneh numbers hearing teh halls filled with laughter and songs. Oi wish tuh see teh people reach intuh there pockets and pull out pouches of gold creating a bustling economeh but Oi Know little of what is going on and what problems need beh addressing but Oi think if teh people wish tuh know more of what beh going on behind teh closed doors of teh Council then perhaps teh council can conduct two forms of meetings. One which can beh done behind closed doors which may involve diplomacy or issues and concerns involving otha nations. Teh Second Meeting which involves teh nation such as pay, Resources, Expansion, Construction or deconstruction of something can beh conducted in an open room of which teh people can come and go tuh listen tuh what teh council is deciding and thinking so if teh people have questions or concerns then teh people can voice it at teh meeting. This may be complicated at first but Oi believe teh people will feel like they have more say or know more about what beh going on. This would also allow teh Council tuh hear what the people truly wish instead of relying on what some claim that they hear which could be due tuh power struggle or some trying to obtain favor with teh leaders. Oi believe in times like this teh Leaders need tuh meet half way more with teh people and before ye ask Oi do not believe the leaders of teh nation aren't meeting half way but Oi think in these dark times, everyone should be more willing and less stubborn. Look at where teh kingdom is now. This is a time of which we truly need Unity and trust in order to move forward and obtaining glory like those who have before us. Oi am just a simple dwarf wanting to see the might and glory of teh kingdom once again. Oi want tuh hear songs of our bravery and triumph over those that wish us harm. Oi wish tuh see the mighty kingdom United as one so anyone who speaks of us will have one of tuh thoughts enter there minds. They will either say "The dwarves are a powerful nation and should not beh messed with" or they should beh saying "Teh dwarves are a good ally that allows good trade and support in hard times whether it beh on or off teh battlefield". Oi wish for all tuh know that teh Dwarves are an important role in this world and will not beh taken lightleh. *chuckles after finishing his long speech* "Oi apologize for saying so much but meh love for teh Kingdom is Strong and Oi regret not being here in it's time of need. Now that Oi am here though I plan to Voice my opinion and lend meh Axe when the Kingdom Asks for either. A united Kingdom is a Strong Kingdom"((I encourage all to post and voice their opinions. Wanna see these forums exploding with posts which helps rp and further aide to the kingdom and its players.))
