Progress: A stagnant elf is no elf at all. Through the toils of productive work, lethargy will be replaced by prosperous Mali working towards the maer'sae hiylun'ehya.

The tally has passed a positive status, and it is now the time for the Society of Artisans.

The Society of Artisans is a public society reform where all craftsman and those who practice the fine arts are directed. The Society of Artisans was forged out of the need of a proper resource income for the cihi of Haelun’or. Materials which are bought or obtained from outside the cihi or gathered inside are directed and processed to the Society of Artisans. The quota is then delivered to the Engineering Corps to be deposited to Haelun’or’s coffers.

The Society of Artisans also serves as an avenue for training the next generation of skilled artisans. The most proficient of Haelun’or are classified as the Masters, where they serve as producers and mentors to their Apprentices. A percentage of all orders from outside entities or profits are given to the Masters for the sole purpose of training the Apprentices. With this, they can advance in their art to become the next providers of Haelun’or.

The Society of Artisans does not only serve as a means for production and training of Apprentices, but for the pursuit of science. The Engineering Corps shall work with the Society of Artisans to better themselves in their provisions and become true masters of their art through new means of completing their tasks.

The following professions are supported by the Society of Artisans, as well as the locations listed:

Tinker: Professions Tower.

Stonemason: Professions Tower.

Leatherworker: Deithwen’s Domain.

Blacksmith: Engineering Corps Storage.

Woodworker: Professions Tower.

Alchemist: Professions Tower.

Enchanter: Professions Tower.

Breeding is a minor type, but it also included, at the stables.

The Professions Tower is under construction. Refer to your Masters for base of operations.

Raw Material Profit

If the purchase provides you material.

If given raw material, take 40% extra for profit:

For example: If order takes 31 iron ingots to make, do 31 * 0.4. 12.4 + 31, 43.4. Round upwards. The order requires 44 iron ingots. The profit is 13 ingots. The state takes the lower half, getting 6. The smithy keeps 7.

Finished Product Profit

Given raw material, profit taken out of finished product. Only works for purchasing of multiple goods.

Materials are given for the equivalent 10 sets of iron armor. 40% rate. 6 sets are given to customer. 2 sets are taken by the state, 2 sets are given to the smithy. This is discouraged as the finished product does not allow for the apprentice to learn. If it is a decimal percentage of sets, always round upwards.

Mina Profit

Mina purchase.

Order takes 200 mina to complete. 200 * 0.4. 80 + 200. The order requires 280 mina. The state takes half, getting 40. The artisan keeps 40.

This system’s benefits begin to reap in reward the more orders are taken.

If an order comes from the personal coffers/obtained within the city, state takes 40%, artisan keeps rest.

Example: 20 feathers = 20 mina. 20 feathers to make 10 arrows. 10 arrows = 100 mina. Immediately sell 2 arrows to cover costs. 40% goes to state, artisan keeps rest.

If the Mali'aheral sell externally:

Profit is added onto the final sell. First mina(s) to cover the cost, additional 40% of the cost to produce added onto it. Same process as above.

Why do you wish to join?(Minimum of 2 paragraphs):

Ever since the end of the war, I have been searching for a way to contribute to our society.  Of course I produced arrows, yes, but my skills were not being passed down to others to allow them to continue my work if I was to perish.  Thus, I wish to join this Society to allow any apprentice to learn the methods that have taken decades of my life to perfect, and to allow them to become the next providers of our blessed culture.

Additionally, the materials available will allow me to fully use my abilities to assist the city.  With the materials provided by the workforce I will be  able to produce without worry of shortage, and thus make better use of my time.  Besides woodworking, I have also dabbled in science, experiments, and research, which is also a part of this Society.  As well as training apprentices or woodworking, I will also conduct experiments which will hopefully improve our knowledge and ultimately improve our society.

A bird is sent. "You have been accepted as a Master. Further information will be sent to you in the coming days. You can now refer those interested in joining to the bulletin, as well as accept Woodworker apprentice applications and take them as pupils."

  Blacksmith:   Engineering Corps Storage/Valmir’s Smith.

Valmir coughs quite heavily, evidently frustrated at Salazar's repeated attempts to utilize his business for his nonsense.

It appears that after the commotion over the inclusion of Valmir's Smith, it has been promptly removed from the list.
