  • Time zone: EST -2

  •

  • Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: I have been temp banned in the first few days of Athera for taking two blocks by Zarsies.

  •

  • Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? No.

  •

  • What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present) Skyrim, League of Legends, Pokemon and Minecraft (LotC)

  •

  • What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? My characters include a Lich by the name of Luthar, al’ Serthek’ Tzentir and Dravur, a graven. If needed be, under certain circumstances, yes. I would definitely sacrifice them to become that of an Event Team member.

  •

  • What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain. I would certainly love to bring activity into the Orcish races, as well as the Kharajyr. The Kharajyr being an alien subject for me but nonetheless an interesting one, which I can hopefully aid via events and for myself, learning their culture and lore.

Other than those two races, I would love to entertain others in villainous RP, my characters mainly being villains. Though I would rather not involve myself in ‘attack and kill’ events, those I feel are rather unoriginal and pointless.

  • What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? I believe the key factors of an event are not the fancy emotes or builds, but rather the attitude of the players involved and the ET member(s) in question. It also shouldn’t be based off blatant and cliche story-lines, instead, it should be unique and different from those already done. Another key factor of a successful event is actually guiding the players into RP, not forcing them. What I mean is that events these days seem almost streamlined, /too/ thought out and planned. From what I have seen, people, when in events, have no real control of their actions. They can’t choose, nor can they really do much other than go with the flow. I seek to eradicate that, I want to guide the people into events, giving hints here and there but ultimately letting the players choose how the event turns out.

  •

  • When was the last time you saw a event? The extinction of the Undead as an antagonist was the last event I saw.

  •

  • What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? I pride myself on being a balanced player, having sufficient knowledge on lore and able to organize events as well. However, my greatest strength would have to be my activity, which has skyrocketed these past few weeks. Most of the time being able to stay on LotC for three to five hours.

  •

  • Why do you want to be part of the ET? I have the desire to be an ET because of the role and responsibility in being able to have power and be able to use it to the enjoyment of others.

  •

  • Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.

  •

    1) For 1-3 person
  • Rumors spread of a small group of trolls, trampling through Fiandra, with various tools at their disposal… rocks and sticks. They hastily begin to advance towards civilized and settled territory, proving to be a danger to not only themselves but the descendants too. It is for the players to decide whether they either trick the trolls into peacefully leaving, slay them or come up with a variety of ways to drive them away.
  •
  • 2) For a group of 5-10
  • An apparition haunts the corner of Embermoore, the Necromancers’ overly large body count have finally come to bite them back. The apparition swoops down on not only the Necromancers but those who dare to traverse across the swamp as well. Here, the travelers must decide to leave the Necromancers behind to fend for themselves, go against the Necromancers and attempt to best the apparition or do whatever they see fit.
  •
  • 3) For a group of 20+
  • Haelun’or’s days of magic have led to the High Elves’ prosperous and privileged lives, until now. With the constant use of magic, the High Elves have summoned a Voidal Horror, cloaked in abyssal darkness and wrath. The Horror lays waste to the lands of Haelun’or tearing roofs apart and flooding the once glimmering capital of the High Elves in pure blood. This not only involves High Elves, but many, possibly the entire races, to rally and either take advantage of the chaos in Haelun’or or forge an alliance and strike down the creature.
  •
  • How long do you plan to stay in the ET? Realistically? Probably two years. But as of now, with all my enthusiasm, I would stay for the rest of my life.

  •

  • Tell me a joke

  • I have a life.

You at times can be a picky, scrutinous fellow. You're nice, but you can't seem to draw a line, and you correct what other people do frequently and feel somewhat entitled to do so.

A minor piece could be your grammar, I feel it may need a little more effort, for now, a bare boned neutral for you.

Yeah, I was waiting for that. Sorry about the bad grammar, I am really sick and tired right now. Most likely, this will be edited in the future.

As for the picky behavior, it has somewhat been a habit. One that has proven to be successful in catching PGers and Metagamers and those who RP what they shouldn't and can't.

Your feedback is appreciated, thanks.

So you're defending your actions? You are not a staff member, it's not your job to police it. It's one thing to BR or try to sort it out, but outwardly just spreading flames and correcting somebody is rude and uncalled for, no?

I AM defending my actions, especially when I see obvious flaws, such as a those attempting be be clerics or Necromancers who use emotes such as "exorcism begins" or "casts drain, killing him," while a BR would fix that, it gets rather messy and is really rather uncalled for in these situations. A good talk would be much more fitting and gets others the help they need, rather than outright banning them.

And also, are you saying that if I'm not a staff member I can't act on trying to solve problems myself? I live and breath on the belief that, staff member or not, a person can change things for the better. There is a difference between backseat Moderating and just trying to help out.

Also, I do not remember actively spreading flames about others and rudely correcting them.

I stated the way I've seen you do it is often rude, it's not intentionally so, I believe you don't notice, but I just think you needa be more careful with that, you can solve an issue, but the way you currently do it is perceived as rudeness by myself and other individuals.

I agree with what Malikith has said in his first post and it doesn't seem like you can take feedback well, you don't need to justify and defend yourself like your life depended on it. :^(

Perhaps you are right, as of now it will be another battle I am forced to face. I will try to improve, based on your criticism.

EDIT: As for your post, Nugley, I am not at all offended or annoyed of Malikith's feedback, I am simply trying to answer and reply to it at the best of my abilities for now. Though, if it seemed rude, then it seems to support Mali's claim....

I would happily work with you aswell! That said, you would probably be accepted into the ET, quit being modest!

Also, I apologize if I seemed rude when I replied, it's just the way I respond to things. Which, as I said before I will be hopefully improving on.

I rp'ed a jester bard with Bart a couple days ago, pretty much being the epitome of edgy and he was completely okay with that, despite us not really knowing each other. Also as for his grammar; when we rp'ed all of his actions would be about 6 lines of perfectly formed sentences, constantly.

It came as a surprise seeing the feedback on this app, but from what I've seen I only have support for this. +1

Just as a sidenote, you may want to lengthen out your events.

Bart...hrrm, you are good. I have not had the chance to RP with you, so I shall give you my opinion of how it is to work with you, OOC. Off the bat, you are pleasant. No coldness, no hostility, and you are constantly a friendly face. My abusive jokes on your lich were never taken badly, which says something about your patience, understanding, submissiveness or a mixture of the three. Regardless, you know how to compose yourself, which is a notch above an ET I had the displeasure of interacting with back in Anthos, when I returned from Haitus.

OOC, you are fit for such a position. I do not know exactly what your RP is like, but I would guess it is mildly 'edgy'. I dislike that word, but it serves to sum up an entire sentence of writing which I do not have the time nor patience for. Perhaps less shooting lightning into the sky and skeletor laughing XD.

You have a plus one from me. Best of luck, and I hope to see you making events in the near future.

A lot of your events sound like PvP/Combat events, so I'll be neutral on this app for now. I'd suggest possibly responding to my post with another event that is more of a "thinking event"/puzzle/non-combat/etc. I believe you understand what I mean so I won't elaborate further, but I want to see what you come up with.

I would also suggest running a "player-event" as these can accurately depict how players respond to your events.

Edit: Keep in mind, I'm not saying combat events are cliche at all. I'm simply stating that all three are combat events, and I'd like to see one that isn't.
