They kill all other doctor RP and make injury basically meaningless. You can sever someone's limbs our put out their eyes, and that player can come back 30 minutes later and say "yeah cleric healed!!!" and regain full function.

This sorta thing is silly and it ruins LoTC's credibility (Injuries that would realistically be permanent, life-changing and deforming are now just a single trip to the doc). Nerf clerics at least to the point where it's not possible to regrow limbs or massive injuries within a single (RL) day.

Didn't know my medic RP was ruined, and such a shame since I enjoyed it a lot, unless it is the ruined version I love, does it mean medic RP after will be fantastic or the same? I guess the latter.

To regrow limbs, you must save the limb, not to mention half the time it'll kill the cleric because of the amount of energy it takes. My medical roleplay has never been ruined by clerics. I don't even use druidic healing much. Normal healing isn't effected at all by this.

Never said clericism ruined it, I said it killed it, because if you're anywhere within 10 blocks of a cleric, all healing RP becomes seemingly meaningless.

Why isn't this made apparent? Clericism is indeed a guildlocked magick anyhow, if I'm correct.

I also thought the monks didn't regenerate limbs/marks either.

If clerics are actually that strong, they deserve to be nerfed. I don't know how high fantasy LotC has become, since I've only returned recently, but healing limbs seems a bit too OP and quite frankly seems also powergamey. I don't really care about the powergamey part though as much as I care about it seeping RP from other groups. This kills apothecary and doctor RP...

If not clerics, there is "monkz magickz hurr durr"

Tired of blinded, armless characters that come back in perfect shape.

In my time as a cleric, the only real way one could regrow a limb was if they really didn't want the character to lose it in the first place, and had expressed permission from the person who removed it to be fine with the bringing back of said limb.

Otherwise they better have had the limb in a preservable state, and even then I would've had to have a few more Clerics with me to make the process easier. The process is deadly to clerics who do it alone.

I Can understand where you're coming from though, doctors can be screwed over by clerics, but if the player decides they want the limb back, why are we going to stop them? This is all about making sure everyone is happy, and while you may not be happy with clerics coming in and saving the day before you can finish, its the end result that the player who is a victim icly has what they desired, and your best idea is to take that as a point to move forward as a character.

Perhaps a doctor who hates clerics? Removes limbs from them?

plus, I've had Drakos with a missing limb for quite some time, and the only people offering her any medical help is her druid friends, I've barely even seen doctors (or even clerics) around for a little bit.

I understand and find this to be a valid concern. Clerics and Monks are the two prime contributors to a distinct lack of depth in roleplay as they make villain/antag RP two dimensional as it only affects you until you respawn or get healed, though I do not think that we are the only ones who should be blamed for this. I have met several people who decline to be healed automagically, and I associate with people on a daily basis who will use traditional medicine first and clerical healing as a last resort if their patient is in dire straits. If you want to try to fault us for doing our jobs you're more than welcome to, just don't be surprised if I don't take it seriously.

Any cleric who does this needs to be disconnected, taken out and shot.

If people are regrowing limbs or getting them healed instantly, it is not the fault of cleric roleplay itself, but the fault of a player. As stated before, healing a severed limb requires that the injured has the limb on them, and requires a great amount of energy to do. Even for highly experienced clerics this is a difficult task, one that might not even be able to be done. Also, if a player has their limb healed, the should not be able to just get right back to it. They will still be injured, their limb will just be healed. It will take multiple sessions of healing to bring a severed limb back to its full capability. If a player hops back into it, then it is either their fault for not RPing the injury correctly or it is the fault of the cleric for not RPing the healing correctly. I understand why you are upset, but you cannot blame a type of RP
