-Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I’m a librarian with a longstanding interest in RPGs, and fantasy settings like George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire.” I've been spending quite a bit of time with Minecraft lately, and have developed a bit of a good reputation as a builder on another server.

-How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I have a full-time job. I would likely be online anywhere between 5 and 10 hours per week.

-How long have you played minecraft?: I have been playing Minecraft since January 2011.

-What do you know about roleplaying?: I have been familiar with roleplaying games for many years, and played AD&D regularly several years ago. I have also played other roleplaying video games. I have not yet played an RPG server in Minecraft, but given my background I expect that is the next logical step for my involvement in Minecraft.

-What do you expect this server will be like?: I spent some time exploring the world as a “wandering soul.” I was very impressed with the richness and complexity of the world, the races, and nations, and I’m excited to build a character so I can interact with the other characters.

-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on the “MadMax’s World in the Air Server,” a non-RPG server, for several months I have become inactive because of a lack of inspiration to continue major building projects with a lack of context and without an immersive world. I anticipate that an RPG server will provide that context, and that the immersive world will rekindle my interest in Minecraft.

-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Absolutely. They seem to be the best way to ensure that we can all enjoy the server without annoying, antisocial, and harmful behavior. I’ve never liked playing in free-for-alls.

-Name the 4 races on this server: The four main races are Elves, Orcs, Humans, Dwarves, plus the Undead.

-How did you hear about us?: I found the thread advertising this server on the Minecraft forums, while looking for an RPG server.

-Character Name: Praxedis, or Prax for short.

-What is your Race?: Dwarf

-Biography:

Born in the underground city of Kal’Urguan, Praxedis was the son of two dwarven merchants who often spent time traveling above ground between the dwarven kingdom, Oren, and Laurelin. When Praxedis was only a toddler, the three dwarves were lured off a lonely stretch of the kingsroad by a deceptive young girl who claimed to need help with an ailing grandmother. Instead, she led them into a bandits’ ambush. The bandits robbed and killed Praxedis’s parents, though they took the boy in and trained him as a young bandit without telling him what happened to his parents. He spent his youth roaming the wilds with them, camping out long enough to create small holdfasts, until unwanted attention forced the bandits to move on.

As he got older, though, Praxedis became increasingly uncomfortable with the bandits’ predatory lifestyle. During a final confrontation with the bandits’ leader after a particularly bloody raid, he refused to continue harming innocents and demanded to know what happened to his parents. When they angrily told him about their murder, Praxedis fled into the wilderness alone. He has been wandering the wilds alone for several months, hoping to find a larger sense of purpose and a home with those of like mind, and refusing to fall in with another band of marauders. He is very curious about his dwarven heritage, but as he barely remembers his childhood home, he’s uncertain as to whether the underground urban life of the dwarves is best for him. He’s gotten used to a life outside the centers of civilization.

-Character Age: about 35 (equivalent to about 20 in human years). As he was kidnapped, Praxedis is uncertain as to his exact age.

-Character Appearance: A young adult dwarf with a red beard, anda tanned skin after so much time spend outdoors. He wears the green leather jerkin and leggings of a wilderness ranger, as befits a dwarf who has spent much time living above ground. He also has odds and ends of armor, acquired over several years of wandering the wilds with the bandits.

-Character Personality: A natural curiosity is Praxedis’s main trait. He has a certain distrust of strangers after some rough experiences in the wilds, but his curiosity and natural sociability often get the best of this wariness. He’s gotten lonely, and is always anxious to find friends.

-Your ambitions: In short, Praxedis wants to find a home. After leaving the bandit band who raised him several months ago, he has been roaming alone for several months, and is social enough that he wants to find a common purpose with other people. This could be in Kal’Urguan, where his parents came from, but after so long above ground, he’s unsure whether he’d fit in. He might also be likely to join up with a small outpost on the fringes of Oren, or with another group living even further out in the wilds, as long as he agrees with their purpose.

-Can your character read or write?: He picked up a smattering of reading and writing from an educated member of the bandit band who raised him, and is anxious to learn more.

-Can your character mine?: In an effort to get in touch with his dwarven heritage, he has been experimenting with mining in the wilds after leaving the bandits. By now he's picked up the basics, and he’s very eager to gain further instruction with other dwarves, provided he can find them.

-Are you a capable builder?: Whenever the bandit band stayed in one place long enough to build a shelter, he was one of the main apprentices of the group’s lead carpenter in constructing camouflaged hideouts. He’s never built anything more complicated than that.

-Can you wield a sword?: He’s not particularly aggressive, but his time with the bandits and wandering the wilds alone have given him the skills to defend himself. He’s also a fairly competent hunter.

-Enjoy Farming?: The nomadic nature of his bandit band’s lifestyle left him without much opportunity to learn farming.

-Does your character have any special skills?: Aside from survival skills picked up in the wilds, Praxedis is basically a jack-of-all-trades and master of none.
