Gnomistry 1115 Share Posted April 3, 2015 High Prophet Beros Tunnelsmasher walks out of a meeting of the Dwarven Clergy with a smile upon his face. In his hands he clenches a scroll with a large clergy seal on its back. Beros nails the scroll to the mainboard with a look of appreciation on his face. The scroll would read: CLERICAL ENCYCLICAL OF 1500 "With joyous faith, and consideration the council of Olgrahad's wisdom, as this theological council was named, has looked over various issues which shroud our faith. With nothing but great passion and tedious discussion the council has made these altercations: ~=~ Removal of Wyrvun & Dormmar ~=~ Wyrvun & Dormmar are hereby removed from the status of Brathmordakin. Wyrvun is an Aengul who showed great values which can be honored by the Dwedmar, however he is not a God, and not a being which should be worshiped, only looked to with joy for his assistance. Dormmar is thought to be a Daemon. From evidence that has been collected by our clergy he was found not worthy of the status of Brathmordakin. Dormmar was the lord of an old Dwarven Nation, and he is said to be an honorable ruler, however he should not be worshiped by the descendants of Urguan, just remembered for his influence in past times, and thanked for the runic knowledge he bestowed upon the like of our kin. ~=~ The Rite of Marriage ~=~ Now from collaboration by Fili Grandaxe, Priest of the Brathmordakin, and the rest of our clergy Marriage has been dubbed a sacred rite, and shall be followed according to the text provided as of this time. The purpose of marriage is to bind two followers of the Brathmordakin, Dwarf or otherwise in eternal love through Belka’s grace, and raise a family together through Anbella’s motherly love. Once bound in marriage, the two shall be united in this life, and the next. To make sure the love is true, a person may only be allowed to marry once.In order to marry, a proposal must be made by the male participant, though it may be suggested by the woman. To propose, a ring of non-precious metal must be presented to the receiver of the proposal. The purpose of this is to appeal to love, rather than greed. At the wedding, the male will be presented an identical ring by the person administering the marriage.A sacred ceremony has been written as well to accompany the rite. This concludes the first councils edict, on behalf of the Dwarven Clergy, I Beros Tunnelsmasher wish all of you the love and appreciation for our Gods, and each of your kin. Remember we were created by Yemekar not to ruin but enlighten, not to hate but to help, not to cheat but to remain honorable in all times light or dark."

Aengoth 2890 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Aengoth writes in response ::It is good to see the Clergy making promising changes to remove the past political ploys inserted into the doctrine of the clergy. If you ever need someone to discuss religion with Beros Tunnelsmasher, kin of Bael Tunnelsmasher, I would be happy to oblige. Let us hope that the current council system does not attempt to insert themselves into the interpretations of the gods which is outside of their responsibilities. -Aengoth Staillinord

I am here ONLY to serve the Brathmordakin, and fix this broken system. As you pointed out, Bael is my Great Uncle yes, however I have never spoken nor seen him in my entire life. I hope you will not judge me based on my relation to him. If you would like to join the council of Olgrahad's Wisdom I would be more than happy to invite you. All are welcomed if there soul intention is to serve they who made us. I thank you for your time."
